Dear Eric,
Our store did business with Janice for many years. Too many to even count them. Janice was always so helpful and kind whenever I called, whether it was to take an order or just answer one of my endless questions. Your loss is Heavens gain. All of us at Piecemakers send our condolences. Linda

Janice will be missed by her many friends. Her special attention to all who knew her in the doll world was appreciated. She made your needs feel important whether it was for a $100 wig or a $1 yard of ribbon - and she always somehow managed to have exactly what I needed. Her brave fight over this last period, and the caring family members who helped her are all to be admired.

How I will miss being able to call Janice when I need a French human hair wig or some silk ribbon! She was a special friend for more than twenty-five years! When I finally got to meet her in Gaithersburg and UFDC shows, we chatted as if we lived next door! I will always think of her when I see "100% cheveux naturels" or attend a doll show. I am lucky to have known her. Au revoir, Janice!

Janice was a valued, contributing member of the National Valentine Collectors Association, and we shall miss her enthusiasm. I will always cherish Janice for having introduced me to a fellow collector who shared my interest in vintage ephemera, and who became a precious friend. She understood people, and was passionate about life. Thank you, Janice, you will always be missed.

Janice, we didn't get to see each other often, me in Texas and you in Maryland, but we did enjoy some times together at shows and conventions and on the phone. You are the type of person that makes me feel I have known you forever and you have a knack for making people laugh. I know God will use you for something very special because you are a very special person. I will miss you.

Jan was a wonderful friend. I loved the way her mind worked! We shared book suggestions and gossip. We were on a number of committees together for UFDC and for NADDA. Jan could always find the solution that balanced the needs of the individual with the good of the entire group. She was intelligent, compassionate, and funny. I will miss her so much.

Janice, We never met in person but I've purchased from you since 2004. Oh how I wanted to meet you in person. You shared with me that you did mail order so you could stay home with your son as I considered doing the same. You always said the best thing in your life was being a mom. Our emails have been brief but I could tell that you cared. Thank you for everything! I will miss you -Ren

This lovely lady will be sorely missed for so many reasons personal to each of us . I'm so glad that I was able to visit with her this past summer at convention. At the time, I knew that it would probably be the last time she would be able to attend, and I was greatly saddened. She leaves a legacy of frienship and giving. Thank you, Janice! Rest in Peace!

I cannot believe how the years have passed, dear Janice, and your name is still mentioned on the Bleuette group to this day - you were such a big part of the Bleuette world and still sorely missed.  I did meet you briefly, but did not realise that until many years later when I joined the Bleu group - it was at a doll fair on my very first visit to the US in 2000!  I remembered buying some lovely trimmings from you!  RIP lovely lady.  Trisch Smith (UK)
