Jerrold Bruce Armour, age 83, of Boynton Beach, died peacefully May 16, 2015 surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

Jerry was born December 7, 1931, the youngest son of Sarah (Rosenberg) and Saul, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Michigan State College, studying industrial psychology, where he met Mona Jaslow, his loving wife of 61 years. After college, Jerry went to work at Michigan Bell Telephone in the Detroit area, and later parent company AT&T, spending his entire career of 32 years there. He transferred to Orlando with AT&T in 1983, spending the last few years of his career there, before retiring to the Boynton Beach area. Upon retirement, Jerry took on several volunteer causes including WXEL radio, teaching safe driving courses for seniors through AARP, and SHINE. He also took up tennis, which became one of his passions until he was slowed by various ailments and was forced to abandon the game. He also loved visiting his grandchildren in Maryland.

Jerrold is survived by his wife Mona, daughter Jodi Smith (Charlie) of Tucson, Arizona, son Aaron (Kimberly), granddaughter Rebecca and grandson Lane of Olney, Maryland. He is also survived by his sister Anita Silverstein of Rochester, Michigan and brother Norton (Marilyn) of Austin, Texas. Jerrold's wish for cremation was carried out by ICS Cremation and Funerals, Inc. Per the wishes of the deceased, there was no memorial service.
