Jilly was adopted from the shelter on my third birthday. She has forever been the light of my life and anyone she has ever met. I put her under daughter as being she was a lot more than a cat to me, she is family. Today on August 5th, 2016, Jilly was put down. We took her to the vet for labored breathing which could have been caused by cancer. The vet offered to give her medicine so we could keep her over night, but we decided not to make her suffer. We looked at the x-rays and we were devastated by what we saw. Her lungs were almost completely full of liquid. We were told it felt to her like she was drowning. I remember holding her as she went. The office was nice enough to let me keep the blanket she passed away on. Jilly was, has, and forever will be the best part of my life.
