Jimmy Lee Jackson, 63, a life time resident of Stem, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at Duke Medical Center in Durham.
A native of Granville County, the son of the late Edward Lee “Slick” and Lucille Bullock Jackson, retired from Murdoch Center and a retired farmer.
He was currently employed with Herald Sun as a newspaper carrier and was a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church.
Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, February 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Oxford by Rev. Eddie Mauldin and Rev. Jeff Prewer. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens in Oxford.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Shirley Ramsey Jackson of the home, a daughter, Wendy Jackson Boyd, of Stem, a son, Jimmy L. Jackson, Jr. of Oxford and seven grandchildren, Laura Jackson, Jackie Thacker, Samantha Boyd, Brandon Boyd, Kerry Boyd, Dale Jackson and Summer Jackson. Three great grandchildren. Chloe Boyd, Jackson Boyd and Brintley Lynch. A special friend Buddy his dog.
Visitation will be held in the Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford, Sunday Evening, February 24, 2013, 7:00 – 8:30 PM and other times at the home.
