Joy, thank God for all of the times we did have together. Year 1 without you has been tough. Yoonie and I keep holding each other up. Plus I got a cat, I mean a crazy cat who is a great distraction as well as a wonderful friend. I was so down this whole weekend and Jackie the cat kept a constant eye on me. I almost felt like you told her to keep me safe. I am asking God's forgiveness for everything I've done or am doing wrong in the grieving process. I am so grateful that we are a family of saved people. I know you are having a great time in heaven, so I don't want to act like a hater because you and Daddy and the rest of the fam are having fun without me. I'll wait my turn. Keep an eye on your sons and grandkids this month. I'm praying for some baptisms!!! I love you Joy. - Always and forever, Ren

Joy, I had a bad weekend this weekend. Missing you became unbearable and I dealt with it in all the wrong ways. I'm trying not to get overwhelmed by sadness. I will not let you and especially not let God down.

I'm so proud of you for what you did for John and Danny. You have been the best mom, grandmom, sister, daughter, and friend. You rock Joy. I love you.

Joc, your presence is missed. Hearing you laugh, you making us laugh to tears, making us smile, feeding us with good food at work, and beating us with every online trivia game. I never got to say good bye, but that's ok because I know we will meet again. I am honored you have shared with me and to have been your friend. Heavenly angel, watch over us and come visit from time to time. Esh

When I think about Joy, all I can do is smile. What an absolute indomitable spirit! She was so loving, caring and so engaged in living. Joy was such a fitting name for her. She was so willing to move past her own boundaries. Who else was a contestant on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, tried out for Master Chef and memorized the cards from Trivia Pursuit? I will miss her so much.......

"Joy, I will never forget the way you took me under your wing when I first moved to Atlanta, you gave me the mother away from home feeling." Once I got settled you gave the " watch over my son speech" because he was always hanging out with me. I can honestly say you laid the foundation for John and Danny that molded them into the good strong fathers and two good guys that they are today.

Maye the angels of comfort and peace be with you at this time of transition. When something is loss, we don't know where it is, but we know that she is sitting at the feet of Jesus Christ.
