Peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Tuesday January 3, 2012 Mr. John Anthony Anstett of Clinton in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Laura Schultz-Anstett (2006) and the late Irene (McManamy) Anstett (1975). Loving father and father-in-law of John and Anna Anstett of Calgary, David and Nancy Anstett of Clinton, Paul and Beth Anstett, Michael and Bev Anstett all of Exeter, Patricia Anstett and Steve Woodhouse of Collingwood, Cathy Anstett and David Stott of Stratford, Peter and Maureen Anstett of Windsor, Bernie Schultz, Beverley Savelle both of Stratford and Bonnie Royal of Clinton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Julie Ann and Gyula Danka, John Bradley, Amanda, Nicole, Danielle, Brenna, Jared, Taryn, Matthew and Colleen, Nicholas, Justin, Jamie and Karen, Graham, Emma, Kevin and Victoria, Andrew and Liz, Jordan, Tanner Schultz, Jan and Rick Ballantyne, Jim Savelle, Christa Royal and Nathan Blight, and Heather Royal and Mark Livermore and by 10 great grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Rita Kieffer and Mary Reddon both of Walkerton, Edward and Mary Anstett of Brantford and Ray Anstett of Seaforth. Predeceased by one infant son Wayne Stephen (1957), one sister Betty Goetz and by six brothers Marcel, Gerald, Frank, Wilfred, Vic and James Anstett. John was a veteran of WW II having served overseas in the Canadian Army and will remembered by many as a businessman operating Anstett Jewellers. At John's request cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd.- Clinton Chapel 153 High Street, Clinton on Friday January 6, 2012 from 12 noon until time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment of ashes at Clinton Cemetery. All are invited to a reception at the Clinton Legion , 95 Kirk Street , Clinton following the memorial service. Donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or to the charity of one's choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. A memorial service by the Royal Canadian Legion Clinton Branch No. 140 will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m.

My condolences to the Anstett family. My first job was Christmas gift wrapping at Anstett Jewellers in Clinton in the mid 50's,before John and Irene had started their family.
