John Joseph Patrick Prester Obituary – March 17, 1935-December 20, 2013

John Joseph Patrick Prester, 78, passed away December 20 th, 2013 at Shore Memorial Medical Center in Somerset New Jersey.  He was born in Denville, New Jersey March 17th, 1935 and is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Caroline Prester and siblings Charles, Bernard, Francis, Josephine and William.  He leaves behind one brother, Paul Prester, Ocala, Florida.

He was father to Cara Prester Weiler (Jeff), Mimi Dora (Robert), Lyn Selk (Mike) and Johnine Chan (David) and grandfather to Jeffery and Ashton Weiler, Steven Dora, Ciara, Vanessa and Serena Selk and Abigail, Emily and Olivia Chan.

John grew up in Denville, New Jersey and attended Morris Hill High School in Rockaway, New Jersey.  He was a longtime salesman for High Grade Beverage located in Mine Hill, New Jersey and held the position of top salesman and highest volume of sales for many years.  He was a member of the Denville Knights of Columbus.

John loved taking his four daughters on many excursions into New York City.  The Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade and the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall will be forever cherished in their memories

A private memorial will be held at Beach Haven, Long Beach Island, at the Pavilion located at 5th Street at 1:00p.m., December 29th, 2013.
