Joseph R. Garr was a fine funeral director.  He dedicated his life to the service of others.  Upon his retirement he turned over his funeral homes to Herb Walker.  The Walker family was born and raised in the West End so it was a perfect transition. 

Joseph R. Garr lives on through the great work he did in funeral service.  Herbert T. Walker and Joseph R. Garr have both gone to that Heavenly place where funeral directors are no longer needed.
