Juanita Simpson was born on April 25, 1933 in Evergreen, Alabama to the late Mollie Matthews and Harry Green. She departed this life on Sunday, December 23, 2012.

She received her primary and secondary education through the Public School system of Conecuh County (Evergreen) Alabama. After graduating from high school in 1952, Juanita attended Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama.

At an early age, Juanita united with Saint Paul United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully. Later, she united with Saint Mary United Methodist Church in Hogansville, Georgia.

Juanita married Mr. Grady Simpson in 1957 and to this union one son was born, Duane R. Simpson, and one child preceded her in death.

After moving to Hogansville in 1957, she was employed by the school system as a secretary. She later transferred to LaGrange, Georgia where she was employed as a secretary and later in the Kindergarten Program.

Loving memories will be cherished by her devoted husband of fifty -five years, Mr. Grady Simpson; one son, Duane R. Simpson; granddaughter, Dione Simpson; god-daughter, Debbie Burden; special friend, Maudie L. Lindsey; brother, Bobby (Ann) Booker; aunts, Ruth Walton and Daisy Sasser; brother-in-law, Allen Simpson; a host of other relatives and friends.
