My dear friend the Big Easy will never be the same without you nor will those of us that you touched and left behind. I have so many fond memories of fun times over the years. You left us way too soon but a special person like you will live on in our hearts and minds forever. I feel very lucky to have had you as a friend.

Viking Queen

One of my favorite memories is the Year Kathy and Al dressed as Vikings. Kathy was dressed up in such a GREAT costume and she looked so Beautiful, fierce, and funny at the same time... That takes an AMAZiNG woman.

Life can be so unfair! You will be missed every single day by so many people.

I have a special place in my heart for you, every time I see a rubber duck. And we know those things are every where. But None are as Great as the one Melissa dressed up for you. My Sea Ray Sister. I Love you, and Miss you. Shelia Kelly

Our Job is Done!

December 17, 2013

I had the incredible oppoprtunity of sharing in the joy of the wedding of Brian and Melissa with Kathy as one of the mom's.  She was MOB (mother of bride)  and I was MOG (mother of groom) as Melissa affectionately called us.  It was an amazing wedding and the times we got to spend together as we worked toward the big day were fun and memorable. She didn't even mind that we both chose purple dresses!

One of the most touching moments of that special day was when Kathy took the time, despite being one of the busiest participants and in the midst of the rush to get everyone off to the church,  to leave me a very special voice mail message.  She said "Sharon, our job is done!   We did an amazing job and we are done!  Let's relax and enjoy this moment and take some time during the reception to share a special glass of wine".

I will always remember that special message and the classy lady who left it for me. I felt very blessed that she would think of us both during this key milestone in our children's lives and reach out to me to make it even more special.

I wanted to share this little story because I think its a great example of Kathy's sparkling personality and her unique thoughtfulness. Thanks for reading!
