To Karen and family: we are very sad for Kevin’s passing. We are so very happy that we got to see him recently. Makes it all that much harder though. Rest in peace Kevin. ❤️

No one really dies unless you let them die in your heart. May words of comfort rest gently upon your heart, and in time may they become words of healing. You are in my thoughts and prayers

Kevin’s Life

Kevin Arthur Freund

Kevin was born to Robert and Dorothy Teeter on February 20, 1959 in Ithaca New York. Kevin attended Fall Creek Elementary School, Boynton Jr. High, and Ithaca High School. Kevin was adopted by Dorothy's second husband, William Freund, in 1963.  He lived in the central New York area until relocating to Florida in 2016. Kevin married Karen Blake on April 11, 1998.

Kevin worked a variety of occupations, from tow truck operator to mechanic to carpenter to transportation services while in Ithaca, and served as a volunteer fireman for the Sprague Steamer Hose Company #6 in Ithaca.  Kevin enjoyed his memberships with the fraternal order of the Eagles and Elks, where he held many positions within the groups.

Kevin was loved by anyone who knew him. He lived life to the fullest. After one too many cold Ithaca winters, he and Karen moved to central Florida. There, Kevin quickly became the park handyman, fixing anything his neighbors needed fixing, cutting lawns for those who couldn't, and enjoying treasing family still living through real winters. He was an avid Tampa Lightning fan.

Kevin was loved deeply by his wife of 25 years, Karen, his brothers and sister, his son Jonathan, step daughter Christle Towner-Henriques, and all his family.

Kevin is survived by his wife Karen (Lakeland, FL); brothers Terry (Karyn) of Groton, NY; Chris (Becky) of Sachse, TX; sister Norene Turcsik (Haines City, FL); son Jonathan (Jessica Iacovelli) and two grandchildren, Sage and Lila, of Newfield, NY; step-daughter Christle (Carlos) of Denver, CO, and grand-daughter Hailey Goodrich. He is now reunited with his parents, grandparents, older brother Steve, and other friends and family who went to heaven before him.
