ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Larry Howard, 74 years old, born on October 16, 1948 in Dallas, TX, and passed away on October 23, 2022 in Nacogdoches, TX. We will remember him forever.

Larry never met a stranger because he made friends wherever he went. He had one of those big outgoing personalities and shared his love and passion for the Lord and Savior everywhere he went with whoever would take a moment to listen to him. Larry's life fulfilled this Scripture: Matthew 22:37-40 KJV 37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." He truly loved everyone as himself. Giving, loving, kind, patient, well let's just say he was a man that pleased God through the fruit of the Spirit he walked in.

Through the power of the Gospel that he preached signs followed. In the name of Jesus, he cast out devils, spoke with new tongues, laid hands on the sick and they recovered.  Larry "went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with him, and confirming the word with signs following." There are hundreds, even thousands of testimonies of Bro. Larry's ministry: salvations, healings, deliverance, and miraculous provision for their lives and so much more. Hearts were mended. Lives were changed. He made a great impact for the Kingdom of God.
He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany, where he lived with his wife and son.

He graduated from W.W. Samuel High School, attended a technical school and received an associate’s degree in drafting. He also attended Southwestern Assemblies of God Bible College which is the path he chose for his life after being radically saved by God from a life of rebellion.  He was in the ministry for over 40 years and served as an evangelist, missionary, and pastor. Larry is best known for his loving and kind heart, and his desire to serve God.

He is survived by his loving wife Connie, whom he referred to as his soulmate and forever sweetheart. He often remarked that they got married young and grew up together, his son Gary and wife Jessica, son Steven, daughter Darla and husband Chad, daughter Cheryl and husband Vernon, and daughter Christina and husband Lonnie, 16 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Services for Larry will be held at Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center Texas on Saturday, October 29th at 2:00.

A Life Well Lived

Rev. Larry Howard lived an extraordinary life!

Larry loved God and made sure those around him did too!

Larry loved and adored his wife and soulmate Connie. She was his forever sweetheart. He often told others that they got married young and grew up together. They had five children. Gary and his wife Jessica, Steven, Darla, and her husband Chad, Cheryl and her husband Vernon, and Christina and her husband Lonnie. He was a very loving "Boppy" to their 14 grandchildren and their four great-grandchildren. Being there for his family, living a life of a faithful sold-out Christian man with his highest goal for his family.

Larry's life fulfilled this Scripture: Matthew 22:37-40 KJV 37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." A Father's Prayer for His Family

October 28, 2022
We are very thankful, God, for the good times we have with our families. Thank You for allowing us to enjoy each other’s company. Thank You for giving us time to spend with them each day.

Preserve our good relationships, Father, whenever we are with our beloved families. Let peace reign in our homes and let compassion fill each of our hearts. Teach us what it is to experience real joy and enable us to show each other what this means.

Lord, You are our Prince of Peace and the One that guards our hearts. May You always remind us to be peacemakers, especially within our families. Protect us from hateful thoughts, and let us not be the reason for causing chaos in our homes. Guide us each day as we walk through life with our families, wherever each of us may be. All these we ask in Your Name, Amen.
