Junior it is really hard to believe that today it is a year since you left us. I know that you are up there putting even bigger smiles on the faces of all the angels around you. You will always be in my heart. You are gone, but not forgotten.

I only found out today about Learie passing. We worked together at Family Arts Forum many moons ago. We weren't close but I remember what a great spirit he always was. He saw the best in everyone and everything. If only I could leave half the legacy he has left, I will be content. He is truly with the angels. I raise a glass to Learie Corbin, never to be forgotten. It's still surreal that you are gone. You are such an amazing spirit and having been graced with your presence means that I have been blessed in my lifetime. I continue to take solice in your new found home and peace. Thank you for the time we spent together. I am greatful.

Today, dear Junior, you would have been 43 years young. You truly were a blessing to all of us who knew you and I know that you are comfortably resting in the arms of the Saviour with no more pain, no more troubles, no more worries. Sleep on, my son, until we meet again.

Junior I can remember you as a young little boy, already making people laugh and feel good, at such a young age. Now 43 years old today, Heaven is rejoicing with you, as you sit at God's Feet and continue to be a Blessing to all around you. I miss you and never will forget you.

My mother always told me as a baby the only one I would go with other then herself was my brother Juni. Even to the exclusion of our father. It shows the trust and understanding of the fact that I knew he was a good person from young.

Learie was a great man and mentor to all of our youth. He was compassionate, giving, and always there when you needed a helping hand. Learie and I worked on many projects at MS 143 and he will be truly missed by me and my family. He truly lived a purpose filled and driven life. May God bless and grant you a peaceful journey. I grew up always hearing about Learie Corbin Junior and how much I look like him,how nice and sweet he was. I never met him physically and it hurts my heart. But I have spoken to him on numerous occasions enough to know he was a sweet and blessed person. He was always thoughtful and sent yearly postcards which were unique. To me we had a special bond. Learie Corbin was a good man. He was convicted and passionate about the important issues. He was a great father and friend. Learie was not afraid to be old school and he recognized that shaping children's lives was the most important endeavor that anyone could undertake. My friend you will never be gone. I love you my brother.

Learie was a very special son and the loss grieves me deeply. He had an infectious smile that lit up a room when he walked in. His love knew no bounds and I shall forever be grateful for him being a part of my life.

Learie was not only a brother but a dear friend who never left a conversation or time we spent without saying "I love you brother". I'm truly sad that I didn't have the chance to say goodbye.
