Today is Sunday August 20 2017 and yesterday was one year since my mum passed on and she will be always missed. Yesterday August 19 was also the day my daughter Arantxa started a brand new journey, her first day at her new home New College of Florida. Even though she will only be 2 hours away in Sarasota from my home in Orlando, she will also be sorely missed , but very happy and excited about her new endeavor. Glaister (Lance) Prince

Tribute to my MUM on Mother's Day 2017 and her birthday May 15 2017. This weekend Sunday May 14 2017 will be my first Mother's Day without her. On Monday May 15 It would have been her 88th birthday. In tribute to her I am writing this personal reflection on the impact she had on my life and the person I am today. Her most indelible influence she had on me was her unconditional and her unwavering love allowed me to be me. She allowed me the freedom to express myself in my own way and defended me against any and indeed everyone who attempted to force me to behave in ways against my way of thinking, by simply stating in her own unflustered and determined way ," just leave him alone". A second and a more important lesson that this reflection has inspired me to realize was her constant reminder through her actions and deeds that I should allow others the same latitude to be free to express themselves without judgement or recriminations, the same way I appreciated being left to freely express my individuality and difference. In her allowing all who were blessed to have touched by her , would also remember like I did that in allowing us to be ourselves, she was always there as a quiet non- judgemental support when we all inevitably stumbled and fall on our quest to express our freedom. Her last words to me in our phone call on Thursday August 18 was " don't worry bout a thing, everything a gu soon alright " Her optimism to me in her last day has provided me with a reassurance that she must have known that I was going to need in the 8 months since she went to rest on August 19 2016. Mummy, I know you are reading this as I am writing, Happy Mother's Day and happy birthday. Lance Ps Tell daddy hello for me

This tribute was provided by Sonia Prince-Grandville on Tuesday 08/23/2016 We must say you all had a good mom. She worked hard to, so you all could have achieved your goals. As a teenager living at her home she designed and sewed two dresses for me. I was proud as a peacock. Although she lived a full life and God gave her lots of years on this earth. It's never enough for children, love ones and friends. God's plan we cannot change so we morn. May her soul rest in peace. Until that day great day when 1st Thessalonians 4:14-18. From your cousins, Sonia, Andy, Williams, Jen, Peggy, Daniel, Angella, Errol, and Elizabeth

I was very saddened to hear of Sister Lilly's passing, she will be greatly missed. Each time I saw her wether it was just a visit or a little family gathering she gave me such sweet soft hugs..the ones that make u smile inside and out. I really admired her bond with all of her sisters and can only hope to be the same way with my sister. To Sister Lilly: I will miss the love you have given me, and I will miss seeing your bright face. We will meet again and we will have a cup of sorrel and a slice of your sweet bread pudding

This is in such disbelief in our family to have lost such a rock, I remember being a kid and just about every other Sunday we would have been on the roster to show up at Sister Lilly's house for Sunday dinner...... Or my mom baking a cake and saying it was for sister Lilly.... I am not worthy to be apart of this family I'm truly not.... I passed by her neighbourhood four times week before last and even made the comment we should go visit...... And we never did, this will haunt me for the rest of my natural life.... I could've had the chance to say good bye one last time time and didn't....this will haunt me. I've always loved you Sister Lilly... Say hello to everyone that has made it to eternity including mummy you tell her I love her and I will always share her memory with her grand kids until I meet with her... Love forever Your great niece Stacy

To the Prince Family. I am very sad for your loss. Very saddened to hear this, this is a poem that may help you, it about cherishing your Moms memory and enjoying her Life and the fact that she gave you life and nurtured you with loving care and unconditional love and at this time I know she is with her loving Husband. Your loving very great Father prince, a man of wisdom and gentleness and meekness. Stay as strong as you can but don't be afraid to cry, my mom is in a very bad spot now and I cry for her every day and I play these two versions of Pat Metheny to give me comfort, have a listen when you can. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LLZeBpKxTU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp4uMVi8fGc Doug Crooks and Family You can shed tears that Lilly is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember Lilly only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. Author: David Harkins
