Let the memory of Michael be with us forever
  • 60 years old
  • Born on July 23, 1956 in Long Beach, California, United States.
  • Passed away on June 12, 2017 in Lake Forest, California, United States.

This memorial website was created by  me in memory of our loved one, Michael Robert  Evans, 60, born on July 23, 1956 and passed away on June 12, 2017. He fought a fourteen month battle with stage 4 cancer.  We will remember him forever,   Linda

Michael is survived by his children, Maria, Michael Patrick, Melissa
and  Matthew. Myself, my children and grandchildren.

His 8 grandchildren, Roman, Dominic, Isaiah,, Aria, Jasmine, Nathan, Jaycob and Joshua. Four brothers and one sister.  There are many other family members and close friends.

Michael's favorite hobbies and things to do were fishing, Newport Beach, hot rods and watching Seinfeld !

He dearly loved his dogs, Olive and Rocky and the many that went before him. Regardless of how much he complained about poop patrol ! Other than family photos,  all the photos I have of him are with our dogs, goes a long way to show how he really felt about them.

Mike I am truly blessed to have had time to get to know you better. It meant a lot to me to spend time with someone from Wayne's family. We missed time with them after moving to Mass and still do. Your sense of humor was contagious and your smile bright. Thanks for helping to get me out of the river when the Saco River sucked Wayne and I under when going through the rapids. I am grateful you found some harmony in life and wish the disease had not captured you. Thanks for the calls, letting Bryanna watch the Simpsons, watching Seinfeld together and the laughs XOXO Diane

From Wayne Evans: To my brother, Mike was born the eldest of six children. He was taught to be the mentor and the teacher to his younger siblings. He did this not by choice but accepted this with all his wellbeing. He was a great mentor to me and without his teachings, I would not be the man I am today. He was intelligent and very artistic. He left behind some great kids. I am honored to be his brother, his friend. I will love him forever. Rest in peace Mike.

I know that no matter what You will always be with me. When life separates us I'll know it is only your soul Saying goodbye to your body But your spirit will be with me always. When I see a bird chirping on a nearby branch I will know it is you singing to me. When a butterfly brushes gently by me so care freely I will know it is you assuring me you are free from pain. When the gentle fragrance of a flower catches my attention I will know it is you reminding me To appreciate the simple things in life. When the sun shining through my window awakens me I will feel the warmth of your love. When I hear the rain pitter patter against my window sill I will hear your words of wisdom And will remember what you taught me so well' That without rain trees cannot grow Without rain flowers cannot bloom Without life's challenges I cannot grow strong. When I look out to the sea I will think of your endless love for your family. When I think of mountains, their majesty and magnificence Your spirit will be beside me For I know that no matter what You will be with me. Dad I love you and I am so grateful to you for teaching me what's most important in life, my relationship with God and my family. Thank you for being you dad, miss and love you so much. Love Pooh

" People so seldom say I love you and then it's either too late or love goes. So when I say I love you it doesn't mean I know you'll never go only that I wish you didn't have to ". Author unknown. Repeated through memory. Sending my heart felt condolences to you Linda and family. Love,, Marilyn

God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped his arms around you, and whispered, "come to me." You didn't deserve what you went through, So He gave you rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best And when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain I could not wish you back To suffer that again.
