Happy Birthday Mom...

  This is your fourth without you here. You are missed so much. Another baby born, Emily Cronin, more college graduates, so much life without you here. I hope you're getting a bird's eye view of it all. Your loss is deep and felt by all of us.
  Dad is doing well, but he misses you. His sweet doggie Honey sleeps in your place beside him. I miss how clean you kept the house. Dad is such a mess maker! You never know how much someone does for you until they are no longer there to pick up your pieces.
   I miss your love, you're advice, you're shoulder, your wisdom, your beautiful blue eyes, your humor, but most of all, I miss my best friend.

I am left with your voice echoing in my mind, your guidance, wisdom and advice, your love when I needed it most, your discipline, tenacity and strength when I thought all was lost. They say time heals all wounds....it does not. Time only makes it easier to live with them. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you Mom. So many times during the day, I wish I could just call for a moment to say hi, or ask your advice, or share a triumph, or have your soothing voice take the sting out of something that hurts. I miss your calm advice and listening. You always listened more than talked. Mostly, I miss my friend, my confidant, the unconditional love, and your beautiful face.
