This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Marianne Evans . We will remember her forever. Marianne passed away from complications related to Kidney cancer. She gave a valiant 2.5 yr fight. She made an impression on everyone she ever met. She was Loving and Kind and would always look out for the people that were part of her life. She was Engaging and friendly. She never met a person that was a stranger. She was never afraid to talk to you and get to know you. She was Adventurous and would take chances. Life to her was a mystery ride that she wanted to take whenever possible. Marianne was Brave and Strong. She wouldn't hesitate to step in to any situation. She would do it without worrying about her own safety. She wasn't going to let anyone get hurt. She was willing to jump in and save a student's life by giving him CPR. There was no hesitation or thought. She was a wonderful teacher who was stern but fair. She wanted each and everyone of her students to be successful in their lives after high school. She felt that structure was so important for them and she loving demanded their respect. She would do anything to help any student who was willing to work with her. She was Stubborn whenever she thought she was right. She wasn't one to waiver in her loyalty to students, friends, and family. She was the softball coach for Manzano High School for many years. She demanded her players give their best. She always gave her best to them. She was Athletic Director at Manzano for 1 year. During her tenure she worked hard for all the coaches and athletes to make Manzano the best. Marianne was chosen as Teacher of the Year. Her dedication and passion for her teaching career was a driving factor for her getting the award. Marianne was a fighter for things that she believed in and was Unapologetic whenever she fought for those things she believed in. She would seek out people and animals who needed help. She was absolutely the hands and feet of Christ in this world. Marianne was a like McGyver, there wasn't any problem she wouldn't think through creatively to find solutions. She wasn't afraid to try new things other than new foods. She was Strong and Brave throughout her cancer journey. She was hopeful and optimistic. Even in the hard times she believed the best. She was amazing even in the face of the lingering pain she was gracious. She rarely complained and she was always thinking of the nurses and techs never wanting to be a burden to them. Marianne taught all of usl who are left behind a lot about Graciousness, Humility, Love, and Kindness. She taught all of us to be better people. She has left behind her spouse of 33 years Karen Siko. Her sister Patricia Evans and brother John Evans. John's wife Marene and their children Keri Steplowski and Tommy Evans. Keri's spouse Wayne and her children Michael and Abby. Both Michael and Abby loved their Auntie M. Also left behind is Marianne's chosen sister Loretta Micek (Sister L). We all loved our Marianne and we will miss her. We know that she is now with her Mom Ann whom she missed so much since her passing in 2008. She will now to get to learn new things to fix things from her Dad Al who left us in 2011. She will also get to know the being we call God who she respected for the wonderful things that are found every where in in world. She was always amazed at all the detail found in nature. Now she and God can go fishing together. Who knows she may teach him something new. Farewell my friend we will always keep you and your spirit in our hearts. SHE HAD A PERSONALITY LARGER THAN LIFE. SHE WAS ONE TOUGH BIRD!
