Maami,
It’s been a year since you transitioned into Glory. The year went by so fast but your memories stay on. You are fondly remembered and greatly missed. I give God the Glory, honor and praise for His abiding Grace that has sustained us thus far. I also thank the Almighty father for blessing you with a long life. I cherish our time together and the memories of your strong faith in Jesus can never be forgotten. With faith you departed without fear knowing that to be away from the body is to be at home with the Lord. Continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today, we praise the Living God who is ever faithful and ever sure as we remember the triumphant exit of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. You are not lost in transit, but you landed peacefully in the bosom of your Lord and Savior. The Bible in Psalms 116:15, 'precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints'. As we all patiently wait for the coming of our Lord and Savior, we pray that we will constantly fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and the Finisher of our faith. Maami, continue to sleep in the bosom of your LORD the Good Shepherd and Savior.

Maami, we remember you today as always since you left us about a year ago. We rejoiced with you this time last year when you turned 88 years old and we would have wished to do the same this year but we know that you are in a better place with better celebrations and continuous joy. We are glad and we celebrate you the more because we know that it is well with you. Continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ until we meet to part no more.

Maami, since you left us about seven months ago, you've always been in our thoughts. We refer to you always because you were such an amazing creature; fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 134:14). The strong, vibrant, uncompromising legacies that you left behind are here and all around us as if you are still alive. Maami, continue to rest in the bosom of God Almighty until we meet to part no more

Death be not proud, because you could not hold Maami down. Unfortunately, you could not kill all that she has done to make life for her loved ones a happier and more fulfilling one. You could not kill all her devotion and wonderful ways. Thus, the person that you thought you killed and overthrew did not die! You should be ashamed of yourself because you have failed! O death, where is thy victory? O grave, where is thy sting? (1 Corinthians 15:55).
Hallelujah we have won the victory!

Growing up under the care of a good mother is one of life’s great blessings. Maami, since you passed on to a place better than ours few weeks ago, you've always been in our thoughts; we have always been guided by the moral codes you left behind and the fear of God that you instilled in us. Maami, we will forever miss you, rest in perfect peace until that day when we 'll meet to part no more. Maami, o daro, good night.

We lift your family up unto prayer at this time of grief,
We pray you would feel the comfort you need from the Lord especially when you seem to have no answers to all your questions,
Know that God is in control and there by your side
Of course he understands the way you feel cause he knows the loss you face,
So Grace…rest in His eternal love, for there, you'll find His grace.

Adieu Maami Agba. You were there to instill discipline in the most loving way. One thing I will never forget is that you taught me how to dance. I remember the song "OMO KOOLU BAMBA" you put in the tune and I would start dancing. It took me a long time to know the difference between you and my mother, you both looked like twins then. It is most impossible to take one's leave with your Old School stories and experiences. Thank you for your labour of love over all of us. May your Soul Rest in Perfect Peace AMEN. . . . Mrs Subuola Okikiola nee Cole

You appeared some 88yrs ago, fulfilling the days of your life. You lived and rose beyond equals.
Providence was bountifully generous to you, endowing you with a large heart that was loving and accommodating.
All beneficiaries of your benevolence prayed for your longevity though non could alter the inevitable end.
You left a great mark and we are all proud of you. Adieu mama. From Subuola Okikiola, Akintunde Cole, Olabisi Fatogun and Oladipupo Cole

Maami,
I want to thank you for all you've done for our Family and most of all, my mother. You were a constant in her life. You were a role model, a teacher, a disciplinarian, but most of all you were a loving and virtuous mother. I thank you for passing those traits on to my own mother. I thank you for always being there to help our family in our times of need. I thank you for helping to care for my only brother, Akinwunmi Jr. in his infancy, when my father was in his residency and my mother was in school. I thank you for being hard on us and setting high expectations for us. When we were younger we thought you were harsh. As we've matured I see that you were driven by your love for all of us and your desire for us all to reach our potential. It was an honor being with you during your last days. It was a blessing to be able to care for you in your time of need. I'm grateful you were able to meet my wife, Abby, and that she was able to see how blessed we were to have you. You will always be in my prayers. I love you. You are now with the LORD.
GOD bless you.

Maami, just the fact that so many call you that-even us your grand children - shows how much of a motherly figure you were to us all. You were loving yet strong; strict yet caring. I remember the names you called me and the songs you sang every time I had the opportunity to come and see you. You will live forever in our hearts Maami.

May your soul rest in perfect peace.

Love you Maami, I will always miss you, but I know you have only left us to go somewhere better.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

The first time my husband took me to visit Maami in Ibadan, the first question she asked me was "ARE YOU HERE TO STAY?" Maami took me in as one of her own. She shared the word of God with me.
