She grew up in the heart of Old Metairie surrounded by loving family and friends and she loved her hometown. She worked as a bookkeeper and various other jobs, but her most important job was taking care of her family. She loved entertaining and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Margie and Ed loved dining and getting together nearly every Friday night with the "couples" in their (new) Metairie neighborhood, including the Coles, Lovitts, Saunders, Dowlings, Keenans, and Perriers. After she retired, Margie was very active in her high school alumni group, the Good Ol' Metry Girls, and she was also a Past President and long-time member of the Rambling Rose Garden Club. She loved playing cards with her friends in the neighborhood and was also a member of the AARP and volunteered for the Salvation Army with her dear friend, Angie Cole. Margie was a genuinely sweet and happy lady and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
