People may not write. But you're constantly thought of. You make many people on the Boston route happy.

10 years. You're 18. 

This is Saturday. Boston is Monday. I've thought a lot about it (& you) this year. 

Same ol' message.

Happy birthday, sweetheart. 

I saw a picture of your brother hugging Mom & Dad after he finished the Boston Marathon. Cool! 

I'm a day late; got caught in an April blizzard in North Dakota! 

Boston is on Monday. I miss it. But, we have to move on. Still, we have our memories. You're still there, as strong as ever.

17 years old!! On the threshold. Happy birthday. 

We're on vacation. I missed writing to you a couple of days ago, but didn't miss thinking of you. I try to do that regularly. 

We get distracted by our own personal problems.  In the larger scope of things, being cooped up, hiding from the virus is not that important. 

I'll be thinking of you next Monday, on Patriots' Day, even though they won't be running in Boston(!).

Been thinking about you a lot, Martin.  We can get distracted by other things that seem urgent. But, in the end, we hope to sort things out & know what's really important. You help me do that.

This is the first Boston I've missed since 2004. Times change. You get older & slower. 

Some things never change. You & those akin to you are always with us.

Back again. See you @ the start on Monday.  You're still in our thoughts, with others.

I'm headed back to Boston tomorrow, third one since 2013. There will be a lot of publicity about you & the others. But, know that some of us have private, personal thoughts of you. You're not thought of only once a year.

My son from 9/11 awaits you with his arms open in comfort. But for the living do not stay in the abyss of despair too long for you need each other greatly. A lesson hard learned.

We are so saddened by your loss. Our daughter, who had spent time in Boston, died two years ago just before the marathon. 

I was turning onto Boylston when it happened. Now I will run with two dear ones constantly in mind.
