I have great memories of my cousin Matthew. Two years older than me, several times when we were kids, he stepped in as the big brother I never had. These memories range from him sticking up for me on the playground, to scaring me with his stories! Matthew, we will miss you!

I best remember Matt from art class in high school. For some reason, that's where I felt I really had a chance to see more of who Matt really was...but I always enjoyed his jovial livening up of any group function and his wonderful smile. May God be especially near to Matt's dear family...and I'm sending a special hug for Linda, his dear mama...

I remember teaching Matthew to play a song on the piano one day while he and Eugene were visiting Brenda and me. Linda was so proud when he played it for her, and she hugged him. I think that is the first song he learned to play.

I was so saddened to hear of Matt's passing. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved him and may the Lord give you comfort and strength. Forever rest in peace Matt.

I have many childhood memories.  My mama had a picture when you were born sitting beside my brother who was 4 days older, and you dwarfed him then. You grew to be a big man, and had a big enough heart to raise two great kids. It's hard to see someone young go. :( we will miss you Matt. You will be missed on this earth.
