In loving memory of Mrs. Maudlyn Udeze,
To the world, she was a friend, a co-proprietor, a business associate. But to us, she was more than that; she was family. Affectionately called "Mummy" by many, she held a special place in our hearts—a place reserved for a sister, a confidante, and a guiding light.

I met Mrs. Udeze through my mother, their bond transcending friendship to sisterhood. Together, they shared laughter, tears, and countless memories that wove the fabric of their deep connection. Theirs was a bond forged through shared experiences, mutual respect, and unwavering support.
The night I received that message from Ada through her own line, I couldn't fathom its contents. "Hope this not true," I replied, clinging to the hope that it was just a misunderstanding. Frantically, I reached out to my mother, hoping for reassurance. "When last did you speak to Mummy Udeze?" I asked, trying to mask the fear in my voice.
As I urged my mother to contact our bus driver in Ukpor to check on her, panic gripped us both. "It must be scammers," that dropped that message my mother insisted, clinging to the hope that it was all a hoax.
When i summoned the courage and called the line, Ada confirmed the heartbreaking news, I felt as though the world had stopped spinning. How could someone so vibrant, so full of life, be gone? Mrs. Udeze wasn't just a name on my contact list; she was the epitome of strength and resilience. Every conversation with her was a reminder of her unwavering determination and zest for life.
I find myself at a loss for words as I attempt to write this tribute. How do you encapsulate the essence of someone who meant so much to so many? Mrs. Udeze wasn't just a business associate; she was a pillar of support, a beacon of hope.
In the midst of our meetings and strategizing sessions, she always found time to inquire about the latest Montessori toys and educational materials. Her dedication to education was unwavering, a testament to her passion for nurturing young minds.
As I struggle to come to terms with her passing, I take solace in the memories we shared and the impact she had on my life. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Rest in peace, dear Mummy Udeze. Your legacy will forever be cherished.

The news of your sudden demise came to us in OMEP like the whirlwind, very similar to the biblical rapture. It was most unexpected, considering your strong physical frame and generally good health. Why now, and so sudden too? No one could give me an answer. You were a trusted friend, always passionate for the best in any gathering you found yourself. My no-nonsense but amiable friend, our last connect was a few weeks ago when you assisted to put together some children's cultural dances for a presentation at the on-going Vancouver World Forum Foundation Conference. You left before the event could hold. What a miss! Yours was a most active and love-filled life. No doubt you're now resting with the Lord. Rest on dear, and rest well on Jesus. You deserve it!
