Will say prayer for the progress of his noble soul
This memorial website was created in memory of our beloved Mehrdad, 70, a precious soul who came into this world on January 29, 1944 and passed away on November 9, 2014.
We would love for you to share any tributes or stories of how he touched your life as a way we can celebrate his contributions and his exhuberant and loving spirit.

Will say prayer for the progress of his soul.
Today would have been your birthday if you were here with us on this earthy plane, and we would have celebrated it with a meal that ended with something very chocolatey and with lots of fresh cream. You would also be very excited to see the men's tennis finals! I miss you every day and you are always in my heart with overflowing love.
Roya
We will never forget your kind face and sweet smile. I wish I had the chance to get to know you better but I will have to wait to do so in the Abha Kingdom where you are continuing your service and brightening other's lives.
Much love to you and all of the family who misses you.
Farid
You are missed but never forgotten
Hope your dear blessed soul is on its spiritual
Path and will guide and protect us down below
I extend my sincere and heartfelt belated condolences to his dear wife Diana and dear daughters Roya and Seema in sharing admiration and tributes to the most valuable services, a dignified and delightful spirit and persona of this outstanding servant of Baha.
You remain in my heart and smile benevolently at me every day from the only photo on my desk.
I have not yet found anyone to replace the friendship we enjoyed together over all those years.
For two new assistants I remember he displayed a beautiful serenity as he outlined the duties and responsibilities and was always neat and well organised. His devotion to his role as Auxiliary Board member was uplifting as he often sacrificed evenings to carry out deepenings many hours away from his home. It was always a pleasure to listen to his answers to Baha’i questions and even if you knew the topic, delight in his clear, concise and orderly presentation.
I am very grateful to have been able to serve as an assistant under Mehrdad's guidance.
Beyond all the reasons for us coming together, on a human to human level it was always a warm and comforting experience to be with him. He gave and never took from you. If you were down or jaded he fortified you. He smiled so easily and that smile remains as a permanent gift in one's memory.

You had to pronounce the name to me several times before I got it right. Thank you for our numerous discussions we had and the memories you shared
Yaganegi family.
Shocked to belatedly learn of your sad news and regretting that I have been out of touch for so long, I recall a few hectic years of close working with dear Mehrdad, especially in our Rotary "Mankind is One" year. Being the theme chosen by the Japanese medical specialist, who was President of Rotary International for the year (about 1976, I think), with Reg ?? and Ken ??, we gained NSA permission to send introductory material to all Rotary Clubs in Australia and offer to supply speakers to their meetings. Mehrdad addressed Orange North, my club. At least one District Governor objected to our 'introducing religion to Rotary'!
With cherished recollections and love to you all,
Tony
Please accept my deepest sympathy in this difficult time.
I always remember Mr Ardjomand strong charismatic present and his kind and lovely face.
Thinking of you.
With Much Love,
Sahar
Mehrdad was one of those vibrant souls whose influence spreads far and wide even if they do not realise it.

He will be greatly missed.
He will be missed greatly.
From my father I got the message that "Sima's father" has sadly passed away. It is 33 years ago that we lived in Mollington and Sima was my "first best friend". I remember you all as a very loving family and I'm sure that in rememberance of Merhdad you ladies of the family will be able to get through these sad times. I wish you all lots of strength and hopefully the beautifull memories of your beloved father and husband will bring back a smile to your faces soon. Love Ellis (The Netherlands)
It was lovely to see his beautiful face on the website which I had not seen for years. We will never forget the lovely face, his gentle demure and his ever enlightening talks we had over the years especially when Farid served as his assistant. With his failing memory Farid still remembered him. Our prayers are with you for strength and courage .My sincere apologies for not being able to attend .but be sure our hearts were with you.
your memory will always be with us and I will always remember your radiant and happy face so kind and loving.
It is such a pleasure to have known you and your beautiful family.

Old friends
Mehdad and Diane came to Shiraz for work with their two beautiful young daughters before the Iranian revolution. As I was friends with Mehrdad's sister, Shiva, I had the privilege of meeting and knowing their wonderful family. Both Shiva and Mehrdad were very gentle, kind, extremely gifted and talented (all the Arjomand family are).
My husband was on short-term sabbatical leave in Australia from his University in Shiraz but due to the revolution our family ended up staying there, when after a few years we received a letter from Mehrdad saying that they are planning to move to Australia and we were happy to be able to help them with obtaining their visa’s.
We weren't able to see them for many years as they lived in Sydney and we are in Perth, until finding out just now that our dear Mehrdad has passed away to the Abha Kingdom.

A Remarkable Man
My Uncle Merhrdad was a truly remarkable man. When I was about 7 years old he bought me a tiny gold ring for my birthday which made me feel very special as he took me to a jeweller's shop to purchase it.
He also introduced me to Beethoven and Tchaikovsky by whistling the first few lines of their violin sonatas. I had to listen and then try to whislte or hum the tunes back to him. He came for some music lessons to my piano teacher and charmed her in his own special way. She was an old lady, but her eyes would twinkle every time she said, "And how is your uncle? He is so talented!" This was very true, as he made more progress in a few weeks than I made in a year!
My uncle had the most amazing wit, and sense of humour, and was extremely observant, like Sherlock Holmes, as my Aunt Diane used to say! One day he came to our home and said,"Did Mrs. X visit you today?" We said, "How on earth do you know?" He said, "I can smell her perfume!"
Once when we were all on holiday together, he amazed me by swimming the whole length of the pool under water. He then beat one oponent in chess, another in tennis, and yet another in backgammon.... all in one day! "My dear Uncle Mehrdad," I said with admiration, "Is there anything you can't do?"
I guess my uncle was like a shooting star: bright, beautiful and luminous enough to lighten the dark sky for a short but memorable time.
Yes, he was truly a remarkable man.
