I thank the good Lord I was chosen to have you for my parents. For all the love and guidance and support you gave me I am truly thankful. In a world full of parental abuse and neglect I was very fortunate as your child to never encounter even a cross word between you two. For the many times you went without as parents for my sisters and brother and me I want you to know we thank the good Lord for you as you never put drugs or alcohol as a need in your life over us. For the virtues and morals you instilled in us were forever thankful. For teaching us the good Lord gave us our two hands to work and provide for our families and to love them and never use our hands for violence or abuse or punishment. For all the times we failed to thank you for even the smallest act of love let it be known we will never forget . 
To my father my love and respect for never letting your illness prevent you from getting things done and never complaining about how ill you were even though we knew it. And for always being proud to say you were my father. But where's the chop suey recipie.
To my mother from my earliest memory of enjoying your singing even though you didn't realize I was listening. For always taking time no matter how busy you were to listen to me. For teaching us how to be ladies and act and dress and talk like ladies and for teaching us to be a role model for others to follow. For being both a mother and father to me after dad passed away even though you were coping with his loss your self. For teaching us how to burn the candles at both ends and having the common sense to know when to stop before we burnt ourselves out. 
I could go on on the endless love I had with my parents but the only thing my parents didn't teach me is how to deal with missing them since they've been gone.
