Miro, you were an inspiration, always positive. You got me to push the limits and encouraged me to try new things. I'm toasting to our friendship. Cheers, until we meet again. We will have a lot to talk and laugh about.
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Miro Lovric, 66, born on April 21, 1946 and passed away on January 30, 2013. We will remember him forever.
Please raise your glass. Miro and I would like you to join us in celebrating his life with a double shot of Grand Marnier –his favourite- or a beverage of your choice.
Miro passed away on January 30, 2013 at the Mississauga Trillium Hospital after an incredibly courageous and intense battle with cancer.
Throughout the two year journey we were so very lucky to be looked after by Doctor Micheal King at the Trillium Hospital and his wonderful R.N. Trish Cameron who went out of their way to help us try and conquer this terrible disease. When all conventional treatments had failed Dr Rajagopal and her R.N. Deborah Macdonald at the Credit Valley Hospital were so kind as to include Miro in a clinical trial that inspired Miro to fight on until the end.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to both medical teams who gave Miro hope and courage.
Miro lived his life as intense as he fought cancer.
He tapped into many interesting careers, traveled all over the world, enjoyed a good time and pursued many hobbies and interests. Miro was an extremely gifted artist and there was not a mechanical problem that Miro could not solve. He had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and his scientific mind helped him work through the battle with cancer.
Big hugs and a gigantic ‘Thank you’ to all our friends who have accompanied us through our journey, especially towards the end.
Miro’s spirit will always be with us and I’m sure he is having a fantastic time wherever he is - exploring, traveling and partying up a storm.
‘Cheers’, ‘Zivjeli’ and ‘Prost’
Let us celebrate Miro’s life!
Love always,
Marion

Although we parted ways, and continued on our separate journeys, we never really lost touch, and I'm glad for that. We will miss you.
I've been thinking about you these past days. I've enjoyed looking at the photos - especially of your boyhood, before I ever met you. I see you had a good, full life. You saw a lot of places and did a lot of things. Although I was sad when I heard you were gone, I am happy for you now. Rest in peace. Till we meet again.
Sending strength, peace and love to his family.
Slainte my friend. You will be missed.

It was so cold we all spent the day eating and drinking our way through town to stay warm. Lots of laughs and fun. We still smile when we remember.
Much Love and Hugs to you Marion.

Missing you everyday….. Love you, Jasmine
He had a zany type of behaviour that was very similar to my own and he occasionally heaped make the time a little more pleasant.
Prior to my wedding in 1979 Mr. Lovric also engaged my mother to replace me when I got too busy to keep up with all my responsibilities at the time.
When I wondered where he’d gotten to, I looked for him online and found this and was shocked and tremendously disappointed.
To Mr Lovric’s family, I am truly saddened by Miro’s death. He was always kind to me and a fine man. I’m glad to have known him.
Love Story
I was the producer of Fuzzpaws - the childrens show where Marion and Miro first met each other. Watching their love blossom during the course of production was so much fun. You would walk into the set prep area and catch them jumping apart, or look over to see them sharing a glance across the set. You could tell that these two were destined for their own love story.
A couple of years after Fuzzpaws ended I went through a really rough patch in my life. Miro called me about something else and we used the opportunity to catch up. His words of wisdom at the time - without judgement or pity - really helped and I referred to them often over the subsequent years.
He was a lovely man.
A, "Gentle" man...........
Reminiscing
Miro reached out to me about a year ago and in the last 6 months we spoke every week. We reminisced about old friends and situations and he laughted so hard at times I thought he wouldn't catch his breath. He reminded me of times we tobogganed at 2 a.m. on the hill on our front lawn and lately we would argue about who's dog was more special his or mine. Miro will never be forgotten, how could you, he was a unique man. I am glad I knew you, you will be missed
