Can somebody just call and tell me this is not true. Elesie Emole as I fondly call her is gone. Elesie has been a childhood for over thirty years. This news struck me like a lighting and it is still very hard for me to accept. Elesie's call was the first call I got this Christmas to wish me a merry xmas and we spoke for along time, little did I know that was going to be it.
Elesie will be greatly missed. Renee, Mama, your family, friends and community need you but the Lord need you most. Rest in the bossom of your maker.

Elesie, little did i know that the phone call I made to you on December 24th from my office was the last discussion we will have on this earth. Elesie, I remembered vividly what you said to me when I called to check on you. You complained that i do not call you quite often and that you wanted us to stay longer on the phone. My response to you was that i was in the office and was just checking on you and to let you know that i was travelling home the next day.I am glad I made that call on that faithful day. The news of your passing came as a shock to me knowing that you did not show any sign of sickness when I spoke with you. Elesie, may your gentle sould find solace in the Lord. We will miss you.

It was with great shock and sadness that I learnt of this sad news this morning. I have very fond memories of Elesie from Nsukka, Enugu and Abiriba over the years. Each time we met she would always tease me like a big sister. and although I had not seen her for many years, had looked forward to doing so at some point.

I always admired her gentleness, soft-spoken simplicity and open heartedness.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace and may God give all her family and loved ones the grace to get through this very difficult time, taking solace in the memories of the time we had with her

SAYING GOODBYE
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
(Revelation 21:4, KJV)

May today's tears of heartfelt sorrow
Be signs of hope for a brighter tomorrow
And the pain and grief that we are feeling
Give way to joy through God's merciful healing
For goodbye is not 'gone forever'
It's only for a while
And when we get together again
We'll share in one big smile.

Elsie-I did not have the opportunity of meeting you, but heard so much about your courage, through your loving sister and my dear friend Uche.
We consistently had you in our daily prayers, knowing that God's grace was more than sufficient.
God has finally called you home, who are we to question Him?. We know you are sitting at the right hand of God resting in peace, as one of His angles.

We pray for God's peace upon your loved ones you left behind. Amen!

“I understand why God would want you by His side”.

Your departure is so painful, however who am I to question God. I will forever miss all our laughing during the good times and crying during the bad ones. I miss being able to call you any time and spend hours talking about everything under the sun. I count it a privilege to have developed a friendship with you over the past years. You shared your story and dreams with me and you shared your gifts with the world.

My thoughts would always go back to the last time we had the chance to have a meaningful conversation December 7th 2013 just before I traveled to Nigeria for Okochi. It turned into the most meaningful and emotional conversation we ever had. I remember so often the nights when you stayed up till 11pm sometimes past midnight talking about the things we believed in, the love for family, and the future of your ministry. It is still hard not to miss times like those. You were an angel; an angel who taught me the meaning of friendship, the meaning of a good in-law, the reasons for loving everyone (including those who care less about you). You also included those who do not understand the meaning on love. How do I adequately honor someone who brought joy at every giving moment?

Elesie my precious, you will be dearly missed. But I can understand why God would want such a beautiful angel on his side so soon and so timely. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and friendship. I gain hope knowing that you are with the Lord and that I will see you again in heaven one day. You lived your life for Jesus, and now you can enjoy the presence of God.
You once told me that,“if it pleased God that I remain for a season, then I ought to do something with the gift of life I have been given”.

I'll never forget you Elesie.
Sleep well.

My Dear Elesie,
God will continue to bless the day I met you. For a friend, you were so young but so wise. Your faith in God was unmovable. Your devotion to God and man was unsurpassable. And your loyalty to your friends was unshakeable. You put others, both family and friends before yourself. You made your decisions based on what Jesus would do. You had the strength of Samson and you fought gallantly till the end.
Elesie, I will miss you dearly. I can’t wait to see the brilliance of the jewels on your crown in heaven.
Sleep well, my “Little Sister”-Friend!
Sleep tight my Prayer Warrior!
Rest in Peace my Precious!

My Dearest Sister and Friend, you had pulled through the roughest time and gave all of us hope that the battle was finally over only for the news we got on the 9th. You were so very brave and full of courage, never complaining, always encouraging, praying and reaching out to everyone as much as possible. You gave sooooo much of yourself despite your pain, which is why many are shocked to hear you had been sick. What a Stoic Christian example you have left behind! You wouldn't ever want us to question God as you always submitted to God's will throughout this battle, so we will not question Him either, we submit too! I know that All things will work for the good of the family you left behind especially your darling Renee. You left a glowing legacy and awesome testimony, of one who fought the good fight and truly finished her course. I am sure according to Isaiah 57:1 "The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil", you are resting peacefully after receiving a very hearty 'Well done, good and faithful servant, Enter into the Joy of The Lord'. Continue to Rest in The Lord's bosom. Adieu my dear friend!! Good night dear Elesie, we shall meet up in eternity in heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Elesie, you will be truly missed. Your faith was unshakeable and you had such inner strength to believe that things will always get better. Thanks for your friendship, prayers and support. We shared a lot together through the years, merging our faith together through every challenge. You have indeed fought a good fight and you finished on a high note, now you have entered your rest, dancing in the streets of gold, radiant as your Savior welcomes you home. There are no more pain, no suffering just peace and on broken songs of praise for a saint who is home. Rest in peace my friend.

A dear Friend

June 23, 2017

Riding on a train today, I thought about my oldest core of friends. I had not kept up with one of them- the brightest and most vocal of my childhood friends. A google search started with the hope of sending a much belated goodwill message brought me to this page.

Eke sie- how sad for me that I never reached out to say hello, never had the pleasure of meeting your family. Now you at peace with God.

You were special! Even as a young child, you stood out with kindness, confidence and those bright eyes. I close my mind's eye and I remember our childhood like it was yesterday. You were special and I know God will grant you eternal rest. May your soul Rest In Peace! So terribly belated - Biko accept my deepest and most profound sympathy.

Elesie The Mighty Woman Of God

February 11, 2014

But the path of the righteous is like the shining light

That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. Prov. 4:18

Elesie, the woman on a mission filled and refilled with passion for the Lord and the word of God. She was filled with ever ready excitement to share revelations of power in the word of God and the testimonies of the goodness and faithfulness of God. She was the evangelist faithfully passing on daily meditations.

We watched the scroll of the Lord unfold before us displaying the Advance Warrior Mission life of Elesie. She held on the right hand of the LORD all throughout. She stayed passionate even in a desert place. We watched her emerge from the wilderness with a contagious smile again and again and we thanked God with her.

We gripped our seats and held our breath when the storm swept her under the waters.  The calm looking waters stared back at us. Then Elesie would emerge still praising the LORD and filled with His testimonies. It was like watching the covenant of the LORD with day and night. The night rolls off and the light rolls in. Blessed be our God.

We watched her molded and refined in her walk with the LORD her God. In Elesie we saw a journey with the Lord carrying the cross humbly and firmly, through fiery and slippery terrain. We were often perplexed.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? Rom 8:31

Because death and sin were defeated on the cross at Calvary, as she strode boldly carrying her cross she paraded her victory over death in every step. Faith and

strength manifested in Elesie when she was stretched. Joy bubbled to the surface just when it felt like she is sunk. For the walk with her cross she drew down anointing wherever she went and ministered.

Elesie walked pleasing the Lord and ignored distractions of well meaning words and counsel. She fixed her eyes on Jesus for the joy set before her and did not lose heart. We watched her but did not know her and her identity as only her Lord and Master Jesus does. Our expectation was different from the way of her Lord.

Elesie, life of a powerful testimony to the glory of the Lord, has joined the great cloud of witnesses, with her broad smile, to watch and cheer us on to throw off what hinders perseverance in the race marked out for us. When weary let us fix our eyes on Jesus like Elesie did.

Elesie, you have fought the good fight of faith, enter the glory for the crown.

Yes, Elesie we will remember you with prayers on our lips and recall your loud rendition of Hallelujahs….

Renee, please bless the Lord everyday for the rock from which you were hewn; the rock for a great purpose and legacy of the Lord, Elesie.

Elesie, we saw in you a well orchestrated journey of a warrior woman of the Lord, a soldier in the forward advance regiment of the Kingdom. We celebrate your life lived and accomplished in the Lord. We celebrate the victory of the cross. We celebrate the Lord who blessed us with you. We celebrate the life that shines brighter into a perfect day…

Be Thou my vision o Lord of my heart,

Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art-

Thou my best thought, by day or by night,

Walking or sleeping, Thy presence my light…

High King of heaven, after victory won, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all…

Tribute To My Sister

February 11, 2014

Death comes. It comes to each family each person and is a part of the cycle. We expect it when our family members are old and infirm and have lived many decades. We know that one day our time will come. It takes much soul searching to accept it when death comes totally unexpected.   Elesie, I can’t believe that you are gone. It grieves my heart that you left without saying goodbye. Though I grieve and mourn every day, one thing that gladdens my heart is that you have gone to be with the Lord. Sleep on Elesie my beloved till we meet to part no more on the resurrection day. I will forever miss you.
