Her Life

Jacqueline L. Marcus, the daughter of Lugenia Garrett Marcus and the late Albert Marcus, Jr., was born July 6, 1957 in Chambers County, Alabama.  She entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Richmond, Virginia.

Early in life, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. Ms. Marcus was baptized and united in fellowship with Friendship Baptist Church #2 in LaFayette, Alabama. 

Jacqueline was a 1975 graduate of Lanett High School.  She matriculated and graduated from Jacksonville State University of Jacksonville, Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Dietetics.  After college graduation, Jacqueline re-located to Richmond, Virginia and enjoyed a professional career as a Dietitian.

She leaves to cherish her memory:  her mother, Lugenia Garrett Marcus, Richmond, VA; one brother, Gary Garrett of California; two sisters, Cynthia Marcus Story, Lanett, AL and Gloria Marcus, Atlanta, GA; four aunts, Ruth (George) Brooks, Virginia Beach, VA, Mattie (Elijah) Boykins and Ola Johnson both of Detroit, MI and Ruby (Hugh) Garrett, Lanett, AL; one uncle, Oscar Marcus of California; and, a host of nieces, nephews, great -nieces and great-nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
