Nancy Sherron Hagwood, 81, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Coley Sherron and Dorothy Chappell Sherron. Nancy was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and retired from Nortel Systems in 2002.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 22, 2018 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. David Averette. Burial will be private.

Surviving is her daughter, Lisa Proctor (Rick) of Butner; three step-chidren, Connie Paul (Richard) of Florida, Dean Hagwood (Jane) of Franklinton, Laurie Ann McFarland (Terry) of Franklinton and a niece, Sandy Lipscomb of Northside. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hagwood; a brother, Samuel Coley Sherron, Jr. and a sister, Julia Lipscomb.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 – 2:45 Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home of Lisa and Rick Proctor.

Nancy was my beautiful friend.  She was smart, funny and caring.  I will miss her so much.  Love and my most sincere sympathy to her sweet daughter, Lisa.
