God looked around in his garden
and found an empty space
The He looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best

We little knew that morning
God was going to call your name
In life we love you dearly
in death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home,
You left us beautiful memories
Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same
But as God call us one by one
The chain will link again.

My Lola (Nanay Taba)...We would like to say Thank you very much... for everything you gave to us... helped us specially with my sisters and brother who finished high school because you supported them..

Nanay never get tired of filling everyone's life with her thoughtfulness and kindness - till her last breath. Her deep understanding of what a mother is, and what great love is, is one of her many gifts. Her ability to feel one's struggle and help them get up is another thing to admire about her. She is a great motivator. A strong woman. She defines beauty.

Nanay will always try to give her best in helping her children and their family. I, for one can attest to that. She supported us in our studies, and everything in between. I will always be grateful for her generosity, her pure heart that is so precious. She always manage to share her time with us, through phone calls and skype. I am really proud of her, she was able to learn how to use my Tita Mas' laptop to see and talk to us. I always tell her how "astig" she is cos she is really a good learner, a fast one.

I thank Nanay for being my Mama's source of strength and happiness.. for raising her sons and daughters well. for her patience, for taking care of us, and for all the love that she gave us. She is truly one of God's great blessing to everyone.

I miss staring at her beautiful face, and ask her to move closer to the camera so that I could cyber kiss her and pinch her chubby cheeks, and tell her "ang ganda ganda mo naman ngayon.. promise. gigil na gigil akong ikiss ka sa face nanay.. at amoy amoyin" :) I will miss her calling me "Acheng", her distinct voice, her sweet smile, her puffy eyes, curly hair, her fine brows.. I will surely miss our skype sesh.. The one that I always looking forward to do during my rest days.

Nanay will always be my favorite person in the whole world. <3

My dearesst Inay,Thank you. Everytime I will think of you I find myself deeply looking into myself. I remember someone say " when courting a lady get to know her mother and you will have the vision of your wife to be" I said to myself ok. As I grow older have kids of my own, Oh yes it is true not only in physical aspects, but id say in almost all that I am. I call it the Inay moves. I was quiet lucky Inay was with me during my first pregnancy to the second and to my third which is the last, and shes always a happy nanay (lola) and a strict mother teacher to me, teaching me how to take very good care of my children and my man. My cooking? All the recipes and the menus I have its hers originally I just put a little of my own cooking art. Art its " arte" I also got it from her and Im sure of that. Thats my mom (thats how you say it in the us) Come to think of it now that I know more about life, I always say I am grateful to God for sending us this wonderful, invincible, magical woman and I thank you Inay. You are the first person who showed me that life can be beautiful wherever you maybe. And yes I remember us, me and Inay having a conversation and we both agreed " life can be beautiful ".
Nothing can stop a mothers soul to be with her child and then you will be with me forever. I love you Inay, and in love there is no space.

Natividad Bay, 78, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015.

Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends carried her through her health struggles.

Nanay was born on October 18, 1936 in Batangas, Philippines and migrated to the United States in the year 1994.

Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of the extreme shyness of her youth. Yet even as a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten.

Nanay faithfully cared for family and friends through delicious cooking and enjoyed watching her Filipino soap operas after a day’s work. She kept in touch with family in the Philippines via Skype on a daily basis.

Her surviving family members are numerous, but mainly include:
Mother of 3 Children & Partners: Gary and Angeles Amick, Marissa Bay and Sammy Simmons, Adelina and Adelio Bay.
Grandmother to 19: Joel, Jelson, Tatiana, Julia Fe, Dionne, Adeuz, Mojiv, Oolga, Vanessa, Bobby, Lea, BJ, JM, Azsyl, John Marlson, Lawrenz, Katrina, Karlo, and Kevin.
Immediate Family: Sister Belen
Other family members: Unfortunately too many beloved great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, to list or even count.

Visitation information for friends and family of Natividad Bay:
• Viewing on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 3PM to 7PM
• Memorial Service on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 3PM to 5PM

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to name individually.

The urn that will hold Nanay’s earthly remains, sums up, in one sentence how fondly she will be remembered: Our Angel that lived, laughed, and loved.

You can shed tears that she is gone
or you can smile because she has lived

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she's left

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love
and go on.
