Nelson Allen Sr. was born in Union Springs, Alabama November 25, 1932 to the late Rubin Allen and Minnie B. Johnson-Allen. A sister, two brothers and a son-inlaw proceeded him in death. Ora Lee Edwards, Henry Allen, J.C. Allen and Herman L. Shorter.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Union Springs, Alabama where he served faithfully, until his health began to fail him.

In 1976 Nelson met Ollie H. Tarver and in 1996 they were
joined together in marriage and became as one. While living in
Gary Indiana Nelson worked for Atlas Cement Plant, Peterman
Pontiac and Rockwell Steel Company before relocating to Union
Springs, Alabama.

Nelson was an employee at Peachburg Plantation, Union Springs,
Alabama as a game manager. He served there for 30 plus years.
He was a volunteer for the Bullock County Food Pantry and a
member of Sportman Hunting Club, Union Springs, Alabama.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories-his wife of 19 years

Georgia; 7 grandchildren: Kontissa Shorter, Omaha, Georgia;
Martez (Shantavious) Brunson, Atlanta, Georgia; Johnetta
and Shireatha Morgan, Troy, Alabama; Justin Quarles, Pheonix
Arizona; Aswad Walker and Jamarri Walker; Atlanta, Georgia; 3
Great Grand Children: Harmonii and Londyn Shorter, Omaha,
Georgia; Martez (T.J.) Brunson, Atlanta, Georgia. 6 Sisters: Eva
Cox and Mozell (Rev. Louis) Pugh, Union Springs, Alabama;
Jessie Tarver, Gary Indiana; Lillie (Edwards) Riggs, Compton,
California; Ruby (Robert) Goshea, Philadelphia, Pennsylvnia;
Minnie Hicks, Savannah Georgia; 4 sister-in-law Bessie M.
