Swimming support

July 15, 2012

There was one time dad took us "Mark and I", to the local for swimming carnival, it was later in the evening and getting stormy,  I think we completed our races, but it was starting to get rough by then, storm hitting hard, remember dad grabbed Mark and I nearby under the grandstand at time or nearby, but I was more worried about dads crutches being hit by lightening.

His overall push made me feel great, mentioning even till later in life how well I swam in short distances - :)

He was great at supporting us watching play soccer, tennis and encouraged to participate

His appreciation for all sports was there, and enjoyed him being there at the time supporting the event/s

Indian dinner-disaster

July 15, 2012

A few years back, I decided to take dad for and Indian dinner for Fathers Day, there was a smorgsboard with all variety of Indian cuisine, this was at Morningside a Brisbane suburb, so went to this restaurant, gave dad the option if he wanted a la carte type dish or he wanted smorgasboard, he decided to go smorgasboard so few dishes could be tried, great option as I felt hungry to..   TOO HUNGRY

So  I asked what he wanted said he wanted most of the dishes on hand, and beef vindaloo more of as this is what he like most of, so I grabbed him a plate of favs, and also my own MILD collection, went back to the table started chatting overall about things, was a little darkish in restaurant so bit harder to see meal as much.

Anyway was halfway through when dad asked if I wanted to try something on his plate as moderate heat, so decided to have a go, so place food onto my plate, but at time picked up Vindaloo which I didnt see, oh well. not even 5mins later must have got onto the tastebuds - tell you never been so quiet, thought it was going to kill me, dad was worried as quick trip to bathroom to freshen up, but water, milk, or yoghurt weren't helpful, in time buds adjusted

I did still have a great night with dad, and appreciate our night, and other dinner outings
