ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Noel Dagenais who was born on December 25, 1969 and passed away on July 1st 2011. We will remember him forever.Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.

Noel was a big part of our teenage years, he was such a nice guy, fun and had a heart the size of China! His good qualities followed him to adulthood, he will be missed! Sympathy to the Dagenais. RIP Noel, Gone but never forgotten!

We will miss his humour & yes, even his singing....I'm pretty sure 'The Gambler' was his favourite song. We will remember the good times! 'Til we meet again.

Noel was a good man. Was always ready to give you the shirt off his back, always there to lend a helping hand. I don't think he even had one enemy, it was just too hard to stay mad at him! He will be terribly missed. My deepest sympathies to his family.

DEAR NOEL

ANYTIME IS BETTER THAN NOT AT ALL . NOEL CAME AND DID HIS STAGE WITH ME AND MY PARTNER NORMA AT REPIT SERGE BELAIR ( PAVILLION DU PARC ) WHEN HE WAS IN SCHOOL , AND HE DID SUCH AN AMAZING JOB WORKING WITH CLIENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS . HE MADE SUCH AN IMPACT ON OUR CLIENTS , HE WOULD MAKE THEM LAUGH , HE WOULD TEACH THEM ALL SORTS OF GREAT THING . I GREW UP IN THE BAY AND ALWAY'S KNEW NOEL ( FUNNY GUY) BUT NEVER WOULD I HAVE EXPECTED THAT HE WOULD HAVE DONE SUCH A AMAZING JOB WITH THE HANDICAP. THEIR IS ONLY A HANDFULL OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE ABILITY AND NOEL HAD IT . NOEL YOU WILL TRULY BE MISSED AND YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING IN YOUR NEW JOB ...

this was the eulogy i was planning on reading at the church, but at our church eulogies are not allowed.i didnt want this peice to go to waste so i decided to put it in here for all to see what an amazing guy noel dagenais is and always will be...

my farewell to noel:

First off i would like to say that this moment right here, is a moment i wish i had never lived to see.
but Although we may feel ,that we needed Noel down here with us,i know god ,must have needed him far more.
During these past couple of weeks since the accident,i have been working on a video of Noel and the short life he lived. and i got to see his life through his eyes.a life full of family and friends.and i would love to share that with you all here today.I call it the book of life.

As i opend the book on Noels life,it has been nothing short of a privelage for me to relive it through his eyes.Noel lived his life to the fullest and touched so many people during his time here. Its evident as i gathered and admired all that he had accomplished throughout the years.

As i turned the pages in Noels life i learned he was a passionate man about his hunting and fishing trips. It wasnt only a sport for him, but a time to gather with friends and family.and lets not forget his love for the Montreal Canadians. He was a true fan through and through. He was a man so full of life....and you can see it through his love of country music.Noel as we all know, loved to sing, and each song he sang came from the heart...and with a story to tell. Each song had meaning from a different place and a different time in his life. His love for alan jackson and johnny cash had got him through some good times and some bad.

As i continued in turning the pages on Noels life, i saw....Noel the friend.Whether you needed simple advice,an empathetic ear,a shoulder to lean on,companionable silence,a listener if you will-If all you wanted was to hang around and have a good time,...Noel was your guy.
Noel and i go way back to when we were teens ,and my fondest memory i have, is of Noel and I down on mainstreet here, with his 80`s ghetto blaster blarring ,and just the two of us dancing in the streets.everyone might have thought we were young and crazy, but we couldn`t care less.It was his spur of the moment, little things like that, that i loved the most about him.and will miss dearly.

as another page turns i see him as an inspiration to many.He proved ,that if you work hard enough in life ,you can acheive what you may think is the impossible. We can only imagine how much more he could have accomplished in his life, were it not for his tragic accident. He did not need fame ,nor fortune,or any kind of recognition,to know that what he was embarked upon, was a good thing.

As i turn the page again i came face to face with a man of honor,
his first and foremost priority in life was his parents. He was his happiest when surrounded by family.Even during those inevitable tough times life has a way of throwing at you.His devotion to his family, was the foundation of his actions. He was a comfort to his parents, a loving brother, and the funnest uncle i know my children have ever had.. You know when i first came into this family i admired the devotion they all had for one another. There family was one of a kind and very rare,a closeness i had never seen before, but noel and i had known each other from our teenage years (i like to call them adventures if i may)and i can honestly say he made me feel welcomed ,like i fit right in.but as well all know ,thats just the kinda guy he was,he didnt make you feel like you were just a friend,or a co-worker from work,he made you feel you were family.

as a new chapter begins......i have to say the page in Noels life that i find most memorable is the role when my son D.J. was born.I was honored that Noel wasn`t only his uncle,he accepted the role of being his godfather. He took it upon himself to be the best godfather there was ,and that he accomplished! He loved and watched over Dj like he was his own son.He took it upon himself to help care and nurture him into the young man he has become.Noel was and always will be a big impact on D.J`S life.and for that i am grateful, cause if Dj. turns out to be anything like his uncle Noel, both my husband and i are blessed.

A lesson i have learned from all of this is that life shall never be taken for granted, accept one of gods greatest gifts-family!Live for the present cause tommorrow may never come.

Noel-my friend,
it is very hard to say goodbye,so we will all just say...So Long.I bid you farewell in promising, the pages of your book will never be closed. They will remain open in our hearts forever. And Noel if your listening? Please watch over my babies, and keep them safe from harm, for you...our gaurdian angel..... have earned your wings with your many accomplishments, struggles, and your short time with us all here down on earth.

All my love,Lisa

hey noel! srry you had to go

hey, i wanted to say noel, was a very well knowned man he was well loved by his family, and he was always there for his family and friends, he was the center of the show, he loved to talk and sing, and make people laugh!

ill remember one night, when i was very younger, me and my cuzin nicole where young and noel got so drunk, and passed out on the floor, me and my cuzin where trying to bring noel up the stairs to his room, never made it, was to funny, he was talkin to us in his sleep, i put and ice cube down his shirt or pants i dont remember i was so young lol, ill never forget those days.

he was a one of kind person, there wasnt no other man like him out there, he made people feel happy and loved, he will be missed by all his family and friends, its sad that he was tooken at such a young age, he was just starting his life, but some people just dont have respect and gotta take kind hearted lovin mans life! shame on them, but noel just wanted you to know u will be missed!!!!

luv ya lots amanda lance
