It's hard for me to imagine that it's already been two years since I received the news that my friend Jerome had passed away. I remember the first day we hired Jerome at Daniel's back in the late 70's. Jerome and I became friends almost immediately and remained friends until his passing. I have so many memories of the things we did together and I will always look back upon them. Cookie

Jerome and I were college friend, our friendship continue when we both move to Houston. Jerome was a fun loving person. He always had a joke or two to share. Words does not seem to be enough to express my sadness of his passing on to glory. My deepest condolence is extended to his family. Especially to his Betty, she and I became friends when she move to Houston. May you'll find comfort in all the wonderful memories his life have bless you with and present of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Be bless

Once Jerome found out I was from South Louisiana, every conversation was about food and how soon he was going back to Opelousas to share good times with his close friends. I can't begin to tell you how many times we discussed the merits of sweet potato/pecan pie versus plain pecan pie. Occasionally, just to get a rise out of him, I would call him Norris.

God allowed all of us at his workplace to enjoy the ray of sunshine that he was, and we are all the better for the experience. Rest in peace buddy.

Jerome was not just an employee of mine but he was a good friend, over the years we had a lot of fun working together, laughing, cutting up and oh yes he liked to argue from time to time but it was all in fun. I will miss his laugh and our football picks each week, football season will never be the same. I might have to become a Raiders fan (naw) that's not going to happen. Rest till Jehovah calls you in the resurrection that day will come soon.
