Dem Obasi like i rightly called you i will really miss you.
I was with you here in surulere Lagos Nigeria before you left for USA for medical treatment without knowing that could be our last day to meet. I thought after your trip you were going to come back to Lagos instead on Sunday being 6th December i got the shock news that you have passed on.
I appreciate the major role you played in my life as your younger cousin. You taught me what life is all about and how to live a principled life which i believe has impacted a lot of things in my life. You were my mentor, my role model and my adviser which i will ever miss.
Dem Obasi may your gentle soul continue to rest in the bosom of the lord.
Adieu Dede!
Adieu Prof. & Dean!
Adieu Bekee!

obasi, it is sad that you left close to two years of Amechi's exit. Sleep well the carbon copy of his father, Prof. Okoronkwo Kesandu Ogan. Shalom.

Not knowing this man but knowing that so many lives he touched is the memorial of his legacy to stand forever in those many hearts. Prayers and blessings to all. May the peace that is only of God fill every heart with the knowledge he rests safely in the Master's care until the resurrection. God bless you.

Chairman! Managing Director/CEO Obagan Oil and Gas! I salute you sir! Some of us experienced your kindness and generosity first hand. From Benin City to Lagos, there was one place I knew that I would be welcomed as a brother. From breakfast to dinner, I was made to feel at home. You acknowledged me as your brother and I will never forget it. I testify that the last seven years of your life were the best years of your life. It was during this period that your daughter, Ebube (Miracle); was born after nine (9) years of marriage. It was also during this period that you came to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. You metamorphosed from a man who could barely pray to a man who could pray in tongues. You became a respected elder and deacon in your local assembly. Who says that it is the length of life that matters? No sir! It is the quality of life that matters! And you, my brother; lived an excellent life. Indeed. Those of us that you left behind are not despondent because we know where you are. You are at home. In a much better place. And I shall see you again. Never to part again. Adieu Prof and dean. My brother!

Prof and Dean! Aluu mee! Oti ocha! I saw you last two summers ago in Lagos and you were still your ebullient, smart and well spoken self. Your gift of gab was still intact and you made the over twenty years we hadn't seen melt away in one instant. May your siblings be comforted. Ozo emezina!!!

It's so sad and shocking to learn that Dede Obasi has gone to eternal rest. I will always remember his broad smile, tender, loving and caring heart. He was so full of life and touched everyone he came across in a special way. There was never a dull moment with him. We miss you dearest cousin. Rest peacefully in the bosom of our Lord. Goodnight...

Absolutely gutted! I have no words to describe the loss of Prof 'n' Dean. He was friend and he was family. An extraordinarily clever chap, able to give every idea the distinction and savour it deserved, always with a brilliant touch of theatre, always looking remarkably hale, swatting life's trifles away with a flick of his hand. I look out the window at the slanting light of the moon and I have to hope that whilst you rest now, we will one day meet again in a better world.

I was shocked when I heard the news of your demise. I've never known you to be the sick one. Always full of life & eager to make everyone around you happy. Was very comfortable in your house in Benin. We shared so much n common every time we discuss football. Had always been Arsenal for life. Whom are we to question God. You've gone to be with our maker. Adieu my wonderful cousin, till we meet on d resurrection morning.

Your translation to heaven was very sudden my beloved brother Obasi.
There are many unanswered questions in my heart
However, I take solace in God's Word that you are present with Christ which is far better!
You left a sweet taste in the mouth of everyone that came in touch with you. You were quite broad hearted and caring.

Adieu Prof!
Adieu Dean!!
Adieu Sir White Nwokeoma!
