I knew him as Abel, soft spoken and as a cherished colleague for many years, He was so helpful, always cheerful, and hard working, and kind. I can't believe you are gone so soon, Abel why? why? God, should I ask you why you allow such things to happen? Maybe not, but it is too painful for me let alone his young family, I pray that You (God) should be with the family to ease their pain. My bro from Africa as we called ourselves whenever we met on campus "adieus" May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace, until we meet again to part no more Amen.

Having worked with Abel for 10 years, I can honestly say this world lost a loving and caring person in July. Wherever you may be looking down on us all Abel remember you are well and truly missed. God be with you.

I am sad to only find out today that Abel has passed away. God bless his soul. I worked with Abel for many years, a softly spoken man and peaceful in his mannerisms. He always invited me to church..I will go and light a candle for him.

Wole Omiyale, a Great General in the Lord's army. Not a life who came in contact with you, you did not impart in Christ!
Interestingly, everyone I have come across speaking about you seemed to have either seen you, or spoken with you on your last few days on the earth and mostly last Sunday in Church.
Only a few days before your translation to glory, June 30, 2019 to be precise, at a very low point in my life, you encouraged me, sharing Isaiah 41:10 with me.
Wole, Is 41:10 is now become my mantra - (AMPC version) Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.
I saw you at your lying-in-state, as you laid sleeping peacefully, hoping those eyes will suddenly pop open as myself and Sister Abisola worshipped and prayed. But rather than your eyes opening, I became peaceful and became settled in my spirit and assured that you were now with our Father in the beauty of His Holiness.
Wole, your service to the Lord was impeccable. While you were Prayer Squad, Head of Department, you never missed a meeting, your exhortations were extra-ordinary that many of us recorded them to listen to again. You taught me leadership from another perspective. You demonstrated true service.
I remember the day I witnessed an incident I expected you to react in disappointment but to my surprise you reacted contrary to my expectations, that I called you later that evening to express my disappointment on how you would be quiet and deal with the incident the way you did, and Wole, you taught me about the gift of love in Leadership. Wole, indeed you became to me an unconscious mentor.
You were a true Leader!
You were selfless, always available and always had a scripture to share, a book to recommend and ever ready to agree in prayer.
Wole, words fail me to express how you stood with me, when the earth seem to have been removed from under my feet, and a great gulf was about to swallow me, you open your arms, your family open it's arms and received me, encouraged me and treated me as one of yours.
Wole, the many times you opened my eyes to the Old Testament scriptures, mentioning unfamiliar names and events, and you shared revelations only God could have revealed to you.
I remembered the day I ran through the books on your shelves and saw classical spiritual books, cassettes and CDs and DVDs, even VHS cassettes, I perhaps may never have encountered but by your bringing me close to you.
How you even helped me in buying some of the books which we could only even find using the ISBN, Wole, how could I have even known that was possible.
You were a man of faith, courage, boldness and resolute in your decisions. You made decisions and were too sure of your decisions, sometimes I was cautious, but after repeated witnessing the outcomes of those decisions, I became confident in following your lead.
I remember you seating in your car many a time before prayer meetings and I wondered what you always did in the car, and I was truly astonished when you opened up to me saying you always waited on God to tell you what to exhort us with, and you never left the car or exhorted us until God spoke with you, no wonder your exhortations were Prophetic with great understanding.
Indeed Wole, you became a friend that sticketh closer than a Brother!
As Pastor Nathaniel said yesterday - did we have faith, yes we did, did we pray, yes we did, did we expect a miracle, yes we did, but did you return, no you didn't, but we are now confident God was involved in your going home. Truly in his words, you were a gentle lion. Gentle on the outside but a roaring spiritual lion on the inside.
Wole, I am confident that the seeds you have sown in the lives of everyone you came in contact with, including myself will produce abundant rewards in the life of your lovely wife and lives of those lovely and most God-fearing Teenage children of yours.
Sis Lanre, truly was ministering to us the times we visited her. Wole, you truly raised a wife who though thinks she is not strong enough now, but who is now open to do awesome wonders on the harvest field.
Wole, indeed we are confident of meeting again, and as your wife said today at your funeral service, we shall strive even harder in our service so we could be neighbours on that mansion you have secured through your works on the earth which has followed you into eternity.
I could imagine the guard of honour and the great trumpets blowing on your arrival in Heaven and God saying to you, my Son, your people are praying for you to return, and you saying to God, Father, who sees such glory and returns to the earth, please, I am staying here.
Good bye for now Wole, I vow to do all that is now required of me to have a mansion as yours in Heaven, by my works on this earth.

The news of your demise was unbelievable. In fact, my husband refuses to believe it. He kept saying my friend is alive. That cannot happen to Wole he is too meek and selfless. He loves God so much he cannot die now. Those were my husband's words until few minutes ago.
You were a good friend not only to my husband but to me too. For believers death is a transition, you have gone to greater glory. Heaven gained, what a better place to be. The Lord will watch over your children your heart desire for them will definitely come to pass. They will go farther than you have ever imagined. Mummy Tobi, we love you and I pray God will keep you strong.

You were a selfless friend Wole. When I called you some weeks back, I never knew it was a farewell call. You were not sick but God took you away peacefully and suddenly. My dear friend, you have gone ahead of us. It took me days to believe you are really gone. I told people you were too good and too meek to die young but my comfort is in this word:

Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come.

Oluwole mi!, words failed me, don’t even know what to write or say
You were a true friend and a very compassionate one!
When I heard the news of your demise, it came to me as a real shock and for the fact that we spoke few weeks before, when you shared a lot about your commitment to the body of Christ and as usual your words of encouragement. Your sudden death came with so many questions, lessons and memories
Oluwole you are one of a kind. A million parts don’t come close to account for the beauty you brought to this life, the air around you felt so fresh and comforting, just as any moment ever spent with you. You touched so many lives with your kindness and generosity. You were a true legend, beautiful inside and out. I admired how you never judged or forced your opinions on anyone but offered valuable and truthful advice that I will surely miss. You positively influenced so many lives (Including me) in so many ways, thank you for your friendship, I will miss you forever. I know your beautiful spirit will live on through your wife and children.

Nothing is guaranteed. Eternity is forever. Be prepared now for where you’ll spend your forever. God is not going to force himself on you. If you choose to live without God in life, he’ll honor your wishes in death as well.
Whatever you are doing today, make sure you are doing life God’s way and according to His will. (Matthew 7: 21: Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven but the only ones who does the will of my father who is in heaven) Live life for his glory and for the love of those you are called to serve.
Do not withhold love from those around you. Don’t waste time. Time is shorter than we think.

I am still in disbelief, wishing and praying that I will hear of your rising.
This was a shock to say the very least. I still remember our conversation on joining the prayer team years ago, always encouraged by you with your smile and empowering words. You have a unique way of looking straight into one’s eyes and deliver your message with impact.
You will be solely missed sir. However, my consolation is that you lived your life in complete love and fear of the Lord. You have sown such a wonderful seed of kingdom commitment in all of us and shown by example what dedication really is all about.
We pray for your family, that the Lord will continually empower, pacify and guide them in all their ways. The seed you have sown in them will grow into an oak tree grounded and rooted in the word and kingdom.

Dear Brother Wole, you were such a giant of a man, a spiritual model, power house and inspiration. So sad that I had no time to know you, share, enjoy or love the goodness you represented. Nonetheless, I bless God that I had a few seconds to talk with you, be in your presence and be prayed for by you. Your death confirms the importance of 'nobody knows tomorrow' ' I wont miss you so much if I had taken more time to know you better. Well, au revoir mon amis. Dear Wole,
In such a short time knowing you had a great and positive impact to me and everyone around you. It still looks like a dream that you are truly gone. The better part of that day was spent learning so much from you. Giving tips on how to raise children, how to manage finances. You promised to get me my kind of malt drink I liked. I could talk with you all day. I will always hold those last few moments with you dear to heart. You were such a lovely, nice, calm and godly person.
I looked forward to working more closely with you and learning more from you but God said your time to be with Him was now. You had finished your race.

Brother Wale, you are an example and a general in the Lord's army, a true watchman, a prayer warrior indeed, a true servant of God.
It is so difficult to understand and hard to take in. It is so unreal but true you are now with the Lord Jesus Christ and forever.
Always with a smile that say it is ok and it will be fine; welcoming and approachable.
 You love the people of God, it showed consistently in your willingness to help and nothing is too much to give: your time, your prayers, counsel, money, caring, teaching, encouragement and so on. 
You were always spiritually alert, bold in faith and full of the word of God. You made God's work, your business, your home, your community.
I will surely miss you and indeed we will miss you. God knows the best, 'rest in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ' forever, until we meet again there in heaven, with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Dear Wole, it is still so unreal to me that you are gone. I really prayed and trusted that God was going to birth another miracle through you but now I know God had better plan for you.
I knew you briefly but you really left an impact. You were very knowledgeable and our last conversation was how you were going to get your daughter to talk to and encourage my younger teenage daughter about being a teenager. You were my mind map guru in the office and I unfortunately didn't get to learn it all because I thought you would always be there.

Proverbs 18: 24 “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother” …. that’s what you were to me beloved brother!

Brother Wole Omiyale, a great general of the Lord, an amiable brother, unimaginable and addicted lover of God and follower of Prophetic instructions. He served and feared God. A generous giver with a large heart for God’s people. Brother Wole restructured the prayer squad during his tenure to ensure that all members of the squad were adequately cared and catered for, spiritually, materially and other areas. He reconstituted the 24-hours praying/caring team for the welfare of all members. He initiated the 24-hour prayer chain to intercede for the church and all members. He was always open and available to all members of the prayer squad and could be contacted even in the middle of the night. He was endowed with the Spirit of the word of wisdom and discerning of spirits enabling him to be a brilliant counselor and amazing intercessor. Several times, he will call and disclose perceived dangers involving individual members, families etc. and will immediately rose up to the challenges and interceded accordingly even to the point of engaging in fasting. There were numerous
testimonies regarding critical immigration issues, healing etc. by members of this great family of God.

Bro Wole was a great and amiable teacher, great ambassador for the Winning Foundation School (WFS), he contributed immensely to the teachings and services within the WFS with lots of ideas and advice. He will sorely be missed by all the WFS family. 
     
Beloved brother, we met and agreed to have a family get together on my arrival from my trip to Florida before my departure; I never imagined that will be our last discussion before your transition to glory. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. But as Helen Steiner Rice said, “After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring; after the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease, after life's cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace”

Like Cassius and Brutus departing to the war front (Julius Caesar Act 5 Scene 1), if we do meet again Whilst we shall smile but if not the parting is well made. But our parting is not like the parting of Cassius and Brutus because the Word of God assures us in 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18 “….16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord……”

Nothing can ever take away the love a heart holds, dear fond memories linger every day,
Remembrance keep them near. Bro Wole was a wonderful person who will be so sorely missed. His
warm spirit and generosity was a joy to all who knew him. There are lots of memories and sure questions yet to be answered but at this juncture I will take solace in the word of Charles Tindley in this great song “When the Morning Come”

Trials dark on ev'ry hand, and we cannot understand
All the way that God will lead us to that blessed promised land;
But He'll guide us with His eye, and we'll follow till we die,
We will understand it better by and by.

By and by, when the morning comes,
All the saints of God are gathering home.
We will tell the story how we've overcome

It seems I'm still dreaming and I will be waking up soon to hear you are still with us. When you spoke to me 4 days earlier about our meeting regarding Knowledge transfer little did I realized, that will be the last time I will be talking to you. The memory of the righteous is sweet indeed. What a man of Integrity, honesty, virtuous and very courageous you are. Oh, I am going to miss you my Brother but, one thing I know is that, you are in a far better place resting in the bosom of the good Lord Jesus Christ. You see my Brother, the good Lord who never fail in His promises, will never forget your labour of love and shall surely watch over your wife, children, parent and your loving siblings. Oluwole, your sudden departure is still a shock to me as I write this tribute. Writing this piece is one of the most difficult tasks I would carry out in My entire life. Where do I begin? Is it from the holidays we spent together from Oke-itunu to Odo-ona? Or from Orogun, Ibadan Where we grew up and played all pranks together? Or was it our time together at the Polytechnic Staff School and later at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso? From all indications you and I were not just cousins, we shared a lot of things in common including our oriki; Adisa. Oluwole, you understood your roles and responsibilities in the family, I could remember during the preparation for my wedding and we were not too clear on who would be my best man, you said, “Brother Dayo, I am the most suitable person to be your best man". Immediately you spoke Everyone could not agree less. Oluwole was not just My aburo but also my friend. His untimely demise is very painful but we take solace in the fact he knew God. *A TRIBUTE ON BRO OLUWOLE OMIYALE A PIONEERING MEMBER OF SCM LAUTECH*
The news initially filtered like a rumor, so many confusions as several SCM Senior Friends keep making various contacts in anticipation of having a contrary one. *Alas it became true, Brother Oluwole Omiyale who graduated in the 1st set of LAUTECH Computer Science and Engineering Department and an SCMer has finally gone to be with our Lord*!
It is now a reality we have to contend with at this period of grief and heavy heart of ours, Student Christian Movement (SCM) LAUTECH has again lost a Senior Friend in person of Bro Oluwole Omiyale a rare gem, a gentleman to the core, an ever smiling brother even in the face of myriads of challenges while on campus, a Computer guru of our time, the easy-does-it expert.
I met Bro Wole in the SCM LAUTECH fellowship when i came in as a Jambite in 1991 he was already a year ahead of us. A quick act i can't forget in a jiffy about Bro Wole is the fact that he represented SCM positively at his Paradise Hostel where he lived in his LAUTECH days, he acted more or less like the Cell Pastor for the area between 1991 and 1994 despite having just few brethren living around him. Though i haven't heard from him in the last 20 years or so but i can attest to the fact that *he served the Lord with the whole of his mind, time and resources all through his LAUTECH days in SCM. He was a brilliant and an inspirational leader through whom most of us eventually stayed in SCM LAUTECH*.
There is no doubt, we shall miss his kindness, benevolence and soft spoken accents.
We pray God Almighty to grant him eternal rest and console the wife and children he left behind, and also the SCM family.
Bro Wole, we love you but Christ loves you more.
*Till the glorious morning when we shall meet to part no more.*

My question has always been " why do good people die early?" . Oh death, where is your sting, oh grave, where is your victory ? You're one of the calmest students, if not the calmest in our class CSE class of 1990. I can't forget times over times you'll always advise me not to get too distracted from what brought me to LAUTECH because I was involved in so many things then. Thanks for your brotherly love & so unfortunate that we never see again after we left school in 1997 before your demise.

Hearing about your departure is a shock. To have related with you is to have experienced humility, gentleness and calmness that quickly showed up in your life. Though we were only close towards the end of our programme at LAUTECH, I still remember those good discussions we had: they are of eternal relevance. Rest on beloved, until we meet to part no more.

It would not be fair, not to honour a man, who has given his whole life into the service and the work of God, for his faithfulness and love, for me and many others who knew him, he was an example for the Christian faith.  There are many stones on this earth, but only very few are precious and have great value.  Brother Wole Omiyale was such a jewel.  A friend, with whom you could talk to and and receive a clear, spiritual answer. A man, who lived with his whole house, the very thing, which the Holy Scriptures is teaching us and which he also preached..

Today, so many people are missing you, but we are also rejoicing that you're where there is no pain, no sorrow and no struggle.

We love you, but Jesus loves you more. Goodnight brother Abel, till we meet again.

Bro Wole, you lived each day on earth as a true soldier and servant of Jesus Christ. A man of integrity, kindness, compassion, love and humility. You were always there for me. Never too busy to give a listening ear. All through my hospital admission you were there for me encouraging and praying for me.

If I was not a Christian, you definitely would have convinced me to become one because you had all the mark of a true christian. You have indeed left a good example for me and all who know you to follow. You will be greatly, greatly missed. You ve left too quick. Just like a dream. Too soon my dear brother. Hallelujah heaven has gained.

Dear Bro Wole,

As painful and difficult as it is I have chosen not to sorrow in you leaving too soon or continue to bombard God with questions as to why this has happened rather I wish to thank God for your life and  to thank you for being a big brother, mentor and exemplary leader.

As a Wsf host and leader  you were like no other, as you taught the word of God with so much insight and clarity. My burdens felt lighter and my spirit lifted and refreshed each time I attended.

As a prayer team leader, you championed and trained me exceptionally well. Through your teaching and encouragement you caused me to become part of the prayer team family and made see the so much benefit I stand to enjoy by serving God on the prayer altar.Through you my relationship with God has since greatly being at it best.

Above all these you continued to encourage me and gave me exceptional advice  in  all the different personal matters that I approached you with and being busy was no excuse for you as you always found time to reach out and listen,in essence  my problems were your problems no matter the day or time.

I thank you for living such a great life and for bringing so much joy and comfort not just to me alone. I take joy that you are not completely lost as we would finally meet again in Heaven.

God please continue to comfort and strengthyour family, let them see that nothing has been lost here except a great life that has moved onto a greater glory, let them never allow the enemy to steal their joy.
