Let the memory of Pat be with us forever.

On Thursday, March 21, 2019, Patricia M. Heim of Fairfax, VA, was called to Heaven at the age of 80.  Pat was an active member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Fairfax.  Although retired, Pat loved to stay busy, having dinners with friends and doing volunteer work.  She was a dedicated crafter who loved to share her work with everyone she knew.  Her latest venture was learning how to quilt.  She supported many charities and was always ready to help someone in need.  Her generosity, compassion and spirit touched many lives.  She was dearly loved and will truly be missed.

She is survived by a loving family that meant the world to her including her four children, Debbie, Kris, Vicky and Judie, their spouses, four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and Pearl.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church,3700 Old Lee Hwy, Fairfax, VA 22030.  Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Pat Heim after the service at her home.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Little Sisters of the Poor (www.littlesistersofthepoorvirginia.org, 1503 Michaels Rd, Henrico, VA 23229) or HomeStretch (https://homestretch.org, 303 S Maple Ave Ste 400, Falls Church, VA 22046).

The family asks that you spend time with your children, take a walk on the beach with your loved ones and make a toast to enduring friendships ... lifelong and beyond.  This is what Pat would wish for you.

Lighting a Candle is so appropriate for Pat, because she always had a loving candle lit to welcome everyone who came within her orbit. Our friendship reached back at least 40 years as we shared so much in common. God blessed her in life and in death. God reached down to take her; I'm sure saying that she had learned all there was about loving and should join the most heavenly choir. Nelson joins me in extending his condolences to the family.

Pat, you are always in my heart. Your humble spirit of unconditional love is what I will always remember. You are a mentor and my life was forever changed for the better when we met you. My prayer and hope is that your friends and family will be drawn close as we mourn our loss. The angles are rejoicing as they have gained such a treasure. In the words of our Savior..."Well done my good and faithful servant"

I will miss our chats at the Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke when you came in for your volunteer duty. You were always so nice to me and I enjoyed talking with you about your children and grandchildren. We had fun swapping stories about our families. You were always so thoughtful and kind. I will miss you and Tuesdays won't be the same without you stopping by for our weekly chats. Rest in peace sweet lady in the beautiful, eternal home promised by our Heavenly Father.

Pat, you will be missed, but I'll see you on the other side, when it's my turn to cross over into eternity. Although I didn't get to visit you for many years, the news of your passing saddened me greatly. You were a wonderful lady and a great mom to Kris and his sisters.
With great affection,
Barrett

I was truly blessed to have been befriended by Pat. She was first my boss but most importantly my friend. She took me under her wing when she hired me but then quickly became a loving friend. Know that she will forever be loved and missed. Till we meet again know you will be forever in my heart. Love you, Lorraine Riccio

Dear Pat, I am grateful to have known you and for the time I was able to work with you. I always loved how generous and thoughtful you were, taking our leftover business lunches to the food kitchens so that it would not be wasted and it could help others. You always inspired me. I still have the Christmas angel ornament you made for me. I will always think of you when I put it up. I will see you again one day on the other side. Know that the love you inspired will live on in others! Love, Christina Nyce
