My beloved Aunt, friend, mentor, colleague, confidant, travel partner, partner in crime and good times, but most important my inspiration and role model of a truly dedicated woman to her children, grandchildren, siblings, friends, relatives afar, professional career, patients and even strangers that crossed her path. I feel very blessed to have shared our magical mediterranean cruise together, "hands down" a memory that will not be forgotten, this being one of many joyous memories that only you could make special. You cherished and embraced life with courage and dignity nothing was impossible, and you could ignite a room/party with your pzazz and laughter, your mission is complete and it was one hell of a ride!!!! I'm at peace knowing you are resting in our Lord's hands. Cheers to you my sweet Auntie Paulina your smile and zest for life will live on in your beautiful family forever. Love you and missing you much, Lisa

Mom - Thanks for teaching me how to make my Nona's meatballs, that friendships are about quality not quantity, to laugh out loud is ok, to be myself, and so much more. I'll miss our Tuesday and Thursday chats. Love #6

To recount all the fun times we had with Paulina would play like a Seinfeld memory reel... so many laughs! She was always up and ready for anything, happy to participate. She will be missed by all of us that had the pleasure of knowing her. It is a testament of her love for her family that they, in turn, were able and willing to provide such great care and devotion to her. ~ Kris & Jim DeLong

What can you say about Paulina. Her laugh and sense of humor was epic! My kids loved going to Dr. Hogan's office just to see her. I’ll never forget when she left me in the x ray room with a lead vest on over my shoulders during a panoramic mouth x ray. While the machine started rotating around my head the shoulder on the lead vest got caught and started wrapping around my neck. Paulina came back into the room during the event and started laughing while my head was getting twisted off…I had to motion to her to hit the stop button while choking out!! She hit the button, thank goodness, but she didn't stop laughing-- even while she helped me unwrap the vest from my neck. Then she asked, "You want to try that again?" An amazing lady with a great attitude that will be missed by many. Extremely blessed to have known her.

What can I say? I have lost my Sweet Paulina, my dearest friend!! We have been "best friends" since the 7th. grade at St. Monica's School. We both made many trips back and forth from Seattle to L. A. and many times bringing our kids. We have been one big family and my heart is broken. She has the best kids in the world and they took such good care of her the last few years. I am so grateful for that. Celeste, Mary, Josann, Polly, John and Celine: I love you all so much. Sorry I can't come for the funeral, but my thoughts will be will you. Someday Paulina and I will meet in Heaven and we will laugh and enjoy each other again!!! Janie

There will never be anyone else like you Mom. You made me what I am today. You tackled life fearlessly (I still remember your heroic one-handed effort riding a camel in Saudi with your broken arm in a cast) and with a carefree spirit filled with laughter. I miss you so, so, so much.

I really don't remember Aunt Pauline but what I do is that my mom, Terry Beard Grismer made some of us kids go on along trip from Minnesota to Oregon to meet relatives. Since most of us were teens and tweens, you can imagine that it was an interesting drive. What I do remember is that when we did visit Pauline and family wew were greeted with great warmth, open arms and great food. This only happens when mom's lead the way. I am so sorry for you loss but she is now in Gods loving hands.

I can't believe our beloved Aunt Paulina has passed on. We all have many wonderful memories of her infectious laugh and love of a good time, but it leaves a big hole in our hearts to not have her with us anymore. She was a wonderful mother and aunt and I will miss her always. I know she's in a better place and reunited with her family and friends who've also passed on. In fact, I'm sure she's already giving my Dad her opinion about something. BTW Jonn, My Way is the perfect song for your mom - it so describes the way she lived her life.

We first met Paulina in Saudi Arabia. She had such a contagious laugh. We enjoyed her so much. We then met her again when visiting Celeste in Seattle with our son, Andrew. Paulina was very interested with the duct tape wallet Andrew had made and thrilled when he gave it to her! A fun lady who enjoyed life to the fullest! Her loving children have been so devoted and loyal to her. She leaves a wonderful family to continue her beauty in this world. "Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are and the things you never want to lose" Our thoughts are with the family, Jim and Leah

Paulina was a lovely, fun lady!! I used to love to listen to her laugh/giggle. She raised 6 wonderful children and she was so very proud of each of them. We will all miss her very much! For the family I would like to share my favorite poem....hopefully it will bring you a little comfort in this time of great loss. Remembered Joy Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free! I follow the plan God laid for me. I saw His face, I heard His call, I took His hand and left it all... I could not stay another day, To love, to laugh, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way. And if my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss... Ah yes, these things I, too, shall miss. My life's been full, I've savored much: Good times, good friends, a loved-one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief- Don't shorten yours with undue grief. Be not burdened with tears of sorrow, Enjoy the sunshine of the morrow. By: Steve O’connell We love you all, Fritz and Beth

Paulina, an amazing woman, mother , wife, nonnie and my aunt. You were always a strong role model for me growing up then again when I started my career as a dental hygienist you were the inspiration that kept me going. Always the life of any party and always the rock when things got tough. You will be missed terribly. I was privileged to spend days with you in the past few months, watching many great movies ( and only if they had handsome lead actors of course) and reminiscing on years past, thank you for those moments I will them hold dear to my heart forever. Your voice, your infectious smile and laughter will be seen and heard at all our family parties, you will never be forgotten. Thanks for the memories Aunt Paulina I will miss you Love, Gina

Peebs. You were my friend for as long as I can remember. Thank you for your love and friendship to me and to my family throughout the years. Although your friends at WSDC were sullen and sad, the laughter of all of our stories overjoyed our sorrow. That is how you will be remembered! In love and friendship... Joanne. PS a special message to the family. I will be out of town for the services. I hope to light a candle at a church in Chicago on Friday to honor my friend.
