Phyllis Boyd Stallings- Wife, Mother, Grandmother “Meema”, Daughter, and Sister died peacefully Friday, January 16, 2015, in her home surrounded by her family, after a long fight against a glioblastoma, brain tumor. She leaves behind her beloved husband, John T. Stallings, Jr, her Two Loving Children, Kenneth Terrell Stallings (Anna) and Lynda Stallings Kachman (Michael), Four Step-daughters, Dianne Dixon, Cheryl Deburkarte, Tracy Merritt, and Elizabeth Stallings, Nine Granddaughters, One Grandson, and One Great-Granddaughter.

Phyllis was born November 28, 1950 to father Edward Ollie Boyd, who predeceased her and survived by her mother Dorothy Cash Boyd. She grew up in a large, loving family with three sisters, Gloria Boyd Parker (Ted) of Rougemont, NC, Dianna Boyd of Creedmoor, NC, Kathryn Boyd Reece (Jerry) of Cyde, NC, and one brother, Douglas Boyd (Cindy), of Stem, NC.

After high school, Phyllis began working for Stallings Electronics, where she was Sales Manager and Co-Owner with her husband, until it closed in 1997. Her love for children then took her to be a part of the after-school program within Granville County Schools at Wilton Elementary and Mt. Energy Elementary.

The visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday evening, January 17, 2015 at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor. The funeral will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 18th at Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor, NC. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Phyllis’ life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Creedmoor Volunteer Fire Department at PO Box 810, Creedmoor NC 27522. Condolences can be sent to John Stallings and Family at PO Box 685, Creedmoor, NC 27522. The family would like to thank Liberty Hospice for their dedication in care, and the Circles of the United Methodist Church of Creedmoor for their support.

I'm missing you like crazy!! I'm not trying to be selfish, but it's so unfair that you are gone... You were my 'person' and still are... I count on you to take care of us!! Love you soooo very much!!!

Sorry about the loss of Phyllis but my prayer to each of you for today and the days ahead the God will give you peace and understanding. Rest on all the good memories. John you sure have been faithful to her and making sure her needs were taken care of.

I never got the pleasure of knowing your mom but I do know one thing that she was always surrounded by love from family and her friends..That is what gave her the strengths she needed ..

Prayers out to the family of Phyllis. May each family member receive comfort from God . She is no longer in pain and in the arms of her heavenly father. Have not seen Phyllis in years but remember when she worked at their store on main. Rest In Peace.
