 P.S. I believe that all those in Heaven, and Papa and Mama in particular, if they could talk to us, would remind us that we must get ready to leave this earthly life anytime. So, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, and everyone, may we all keep sharing the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 11:28; 28:18-20; John 3:16; 14:6) to one and all while we still can!

O God, You are present with Your faithful people in every place, mercifully hear our prayers for those we love who are now separated from us.

Watch over them, we pray, and protect them in anxiety, danger, and temptations; and assure both them and us that You are always near and that we are one with You forever through Jesus Christ Our Lord.

"He is not here; he has risen!" Luke 24:6

Because Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did not remain dead after His crucifixion, but rose again on the Third Day, He is alive forevermore! He rules and reigns everywhere. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that He Is Lord to the glory of the Father! (Philippians 2:10-11)

Because Jesus Christ has risen, is alive, rules and reigns, we, His followers and disciples will also be resurrected after we die physically. We will live eternally with Him. We will also rule and reign with Him. Right now, spiritually, we are seated with Christ at the Right Hand of the Father God (Ephesians 1:20; 2:6).

Because of the Resurrection of Christ Jesus Our Lord, we inherit the free gift of eternal abundant life (John 3:16; 10:10) that enables us to:

-Live a victorious life over temptations and sins.
-Forgive one another.
-Love God and one another truly.
-Honor our parents no matter what.
-Pray for and support one another.
-Quit sinning against others and God.
-Love even our enemies (Luke 6:27).
-Make restitution accordingly.
-Live a life of true faith in God and not dead faith (James 2:26).
-Go and make disciples of all nations (Mark 16:15-18; Matthew 28:18-20).

Love in the Truth,

Shiung

Because Our Lord is risen and lives and rules and reigns forevermore, we are truly saved and on our way to Heaven where death, grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer! (Rev 21:4; John 3:16; 11:25;14:1- 3, 6)

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!

Jesus Christ has conquered over Satan, the devil, evil, wickedness, sin, death, and hell, not only for the honor of God's Name and His glory but for you and me too! Through His voluntary death on the cross and His resurrection, He paved the way for you and me to live a life of victory over sin and Satan, death and hell. We have been called to inherit God's eternal abundant life and Heaven throughout eternity.

Praise, Honor, and Glory to Our Lord God! Happy Easter!

Blessed celebration of the Resurrection of Our Most precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Come on! Let's celebrate now and forevermore! Amen.

Forward together in Christ!

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.           I Thessalonians 4:13-14

Yesterday was Friday: We mourned Our Lord Jesus, but Sunday is coming. We will rejoice and be glad on the Resurrection Day of Our Risen Lord!

I like the fact that Mother's death occurred just prior to the Easter Season whereby we are reminded that the child of God's physical death is not the end-there is the wonderful resurrection that Our Lord demonstrated on the Third Day after His death on the Cross. We are celebrating the Resurrection of Our Lord next Sunday. In fact, our church has already started celebrating it even today, Sunday March 29th! Praise the Lord! Happy Resurrection Day celebration!

Psalm 118 New International Version (NIV)

1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
  his love endures forever.

2 Let Israel say:
  “His love endures forever.”
3 Let the house of Aaron say:
  “His love endures forever.”
4 Let those who fear the Lord say:
  “His love endures forever.”

5 When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
  he brought me into a spacious place.
6 The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
  What can mere mortals do to me?
7 The Lord is with me; he is my helper.
  I look in triumph on my enemies.

8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
  than to trust in humans.
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
  than to trust in princes.
10 All the nations surrounded me,
  but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
11 They surrounded me on every side,
  but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,
  but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;
  in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
  but the Lord helped me.
14 The Lord is my strength and my defense;
  he has become my salvation.

15 Shouts of joy and victory
  resound in the tents of the righteous:
“The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!
16   The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
  the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I will not die but live,
  and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
18 The Lord has chastened me severely,
  but he has not given me over to death.
19 Open for me the gates of the righteous;
  I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord
  through which the righteous may enter.
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
  you have become my salvation.

22 The stone the builders rejected
  has become the cornerstone;
23 the Lord has done this,
  and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 The Lord has done it this very day;
  let us rejoice today and be glad.

25 Lord, save us!
  Lord, grant us success!

26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
  From the house of the Lord we bless you.
27 The Lord is God,
  and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
  up to the horns of the altar.

28 You are my God, and I will praise you;
  you are my God, and I will exalt you.

29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
  his love endures forever.

Proverbs 3:27
Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in your power to do it.

John 3:27
John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven."

Galatians 3:27
For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Psalm 27:3
Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NIV)

17 Though the fig tree does not bud
  and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
  and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
  and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
  I will be joyful in God my Savior.

19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
  he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
  he enables me to tread on the heights.
March 26, 2015
March 26, 2015
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?
2 When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh,
My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident.

4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple.
5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock.
6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,
And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice,
And be gracious to me and answer me.
8 When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You,
“Your face, O Lord, I shall seek.”
9 Do not hide Your face from me,
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not abandon me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation!
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me,
But the Lord will take me up.

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a level path
Because of my foes.
12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries,
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
14 Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord.

It is again another anniversary date since my dearest mother brought me into this world. She raised me up in difficult circumstances and environment. I am so thankful to My God, my mother, my father, and my siblings for journeying together with me at the initial phase of my pilgrimage upon this earth. I continue to be thankful and grateful to My God for having carried me throughout my whole life wherever I have been and am. Today, I am most grateful to My God, my wife, and my brothers and sisters-in Christ for accompanying me in my life journey till I reunite with my mother and my father and all the dear saints in Heaven altogether with Our Great God. Amen.

"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." Rev 21:1-4 NKJV

Popo Rose-Hill, as many of us would call her, was a hard-working, bright and caring grandmother. As children, my sister, brother and myself, would not always understand her, mostly because of her chinese speaking. But by the tone of her voice, we would know whether we were doing the right or the wrong. Popo was very generous. She would give us her time, would prepare nice chinese cakes and dishes for us all. Along with Koungkoung, she was the glue, the cement, the base of the Yee family. She was the one gathering all of us around one table for a cheerful and pleasant family meal on Christmas, Chinese New year and also every now and then. She was also very good at giving advices. Popo is gone, but truth is she lives on, because of all the things she taught us and because of all the love she gave each and everyone of us.

It is 7 years since you passed away.

Last time spent with you was in Aug 2006 in Mauritius. I remember the 5 weeks spent with you in Mauritius in August 2006 with my 3 sisters' and brother' family. I don't regret at all having spent these weeks with you accompanied by Hannah and Sarah. It is you who insisted that Sarah came along with us from Canada. I am so thankful for this. PTL indeed.

I remember that on first night of my stay, you came upstairs in the bedroom to chat and catch up with me, but not long after, I fell asleep as I was so tired after the long travel from Canada.
However, we did catch up after as we went out together to visit two relatives in Port Louis, we ate at home, I sat with you as you watched old chinese TV films, we laughed, prayed in your bedroom, shared our experiences, etc, you taught me to inject insulin needles in your body to control diabete, I slept one night beside you on same bed.
I notice that your feet were no longer strong enough to go out and walk long distances.
During our stay, you gave me a bracelet as souvenir, cash to spend and offered me clothes to wear. You had planned all this beforehand. Thanks Ma for all.

The saddest part was when it was time for me to hug and leave you for my home in Canada. We did not exchange many words but I could not stop crying silently when I was in the car making our way to the airport. I remembered I was looking back at you, you were closing the gate and standing there until we departed.

This was my last image of you.

We do keep contact after by phone.

Again, I am so thankful for you all, including brother Kit and sisters Yui, Kim and Yan and family for taking care of us during our stay in Mauritius.

Love you always.

God has always and will always love my dearest mother. She is now in Beautiful Heaven for seven (the perfect number) years in the sweet presence of God. I am so proud of my beloved mother.

She worked hard bringing up her kids until they were old enough to be independent. She fed them daily and sent them to school.

In March 27th, 2007, she left us for Heaven. She was my mother, our mother.

While sojourning in her pilgrimage in Mauritius, when we, siblings were already grown up, she had been active at home as well as at church.

Above all, we praise and thank God for having saved our mother’s soul. Now, we have the assurance that she is in the best place-with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior together with Papa and all the saints. We will meet altogether again in God’s perfect time where we will praise, worship, and adore Our Almighty God in perfect unity and harmony throughout eternity. Amen.

My Mama

Mama has been great. She has managed her family very well . She was a very dynamic woman and mother. She has been so able and capable. I will never forget her. She was a powerful leader. She was very social. She was sought for by many for her advice and help concerning Chinese traditions, customs, natural medicine, healing tips, cooking tips… She was famous for her “tram pan”/wax cake.

She got saved through Jesus Christ Our Lord. She was really a great woman. I respected and loved her deep down in my heart. I miss her but I believe that we will see each other again in Christ’s presence and we will rejoice in Him forever and ever together, with Papa also. I believe that Papa and Mama are together again in bliss and felicity right now. O, what a wonderful and marvelous God we serve. Hallelujah ! Glory to Our God.
