Tributes in Honour of Prof Taiwo Adewole by staff of Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso
It was with rudest shock I received the news of the passing away of our former Acting Chief Medical Director, the Chairman of the Medical Board of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, a member of the Governing Board of Bowen University Teaching Hospital, (BUTH) Ogbomoso and BUTH Health and Allied Services Ltd (BHAS). I have heard so many good things said about Prof. Taiwo Adewole even before I met him.
In my interactions with him during many meetings in the various Boards in which we both served, he showed a lot of passion, dedication and commitment to the course he believed would improve the lot of people, especially the underserved. He was forthright. We thank God for the time He lent him to us. We pray that the God of comfort will comfort his immediate family, colleagues and the Nigerian Baptist Family. It is well.
Dr. O. G. Olupona
Acting Chief Medical Director
BUTH, Ogbomoso
The passing away of Prof. Taiwo Adewole came so sudden. He was a man with a strong passion, energy and idea for the Hospital, the University and the Nigerian Baptist Convention as a whole. He will be sorely missed.
May the Lord grant him a peaceful repose and also comfort the family at this sore moment and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss. Bye for a while Sir and thank you for the time spent with us.
Dr. A.O. Durodola, Director of Clinical
Services/Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee

Adieu Professor Adegboyega Adewole . Not how long but how well. You have done your bit and have left your mark on the shores of BUI, COHS as our Provost and of BUTH as our Chief Medical Director. You served the Board of BHAS meritoriously. We shall miss your contribution in all the areas where you served. Your legacy lives though you have gone to be with the Lord.
Rest in peace in the bosom of our Lord.
Dr. Adenike Adeniran
General Purpose Chairman, BUTH Health
& Allied Services (BHAS) Board
The passing away of Prof Adewole met the Hospital Community in shock and disbelief. We have lost a dedicated man of God who had passion for the progress of BUTH and the Hospital’s future. He was very vocal for progress and full of ideas. Prof. Adewole will be greatly missed. His contributions on the BHAS Board and the Governing Board will be remembered and greatly cherished. May his soul rest in perfect peace. You left your footprints on the sands of time.
Dr. (Mrs.) Y.C. AyoBello
Director of Administration
BUTH, Ogbomoso
Life itself is surrounded with so many activities, the good, the bad and the ugly. The good part of life will be enjoyed to the fullest when one knows who the Maker is! The bad side of it will be enjoyed when one is on the other side, the ugly part of it is not palatable at all. In fact, we are borne into this terrestrial plane of the universe to play one role or the other. The role you played on this earth counted a lot. You contributed your quota to the development of human and intellectual capacity. Both in Bowen University and Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
Well, I must sincerely let you know or let the world know that you have gone, but your footprints that you have left on the sand of time really count. One will never want anyone who is so close and dear to one to die so sudden, but who are we? When God says the stage curtain should be drawn, then, it has to be drawn. Your stage curtain has now been drawn. Anyway, mortals meet to part, mortals part to meet, life is an angle at a point. We miss you so dearly.
Adieu Professor Taiwo Adegboyega Adewole.
Dn. Dr. Ojedoja Sanjo
BUTH, Ogbomoso
