THE FAMILY OF DR BABATUNDE ATANDA OYELEYE
Please accept our condolences on the transition of Dr Babatunde Atanda Oyeleye RN, BNSc, PhD, FWACN, who prior to his retirement was a staff of the Department of Nursing Science, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
He assumed duty as Assistant Lecturer in the then Faculty of Health Sciences on June 2 1986. He acquired additional qualifications and was promoted to the grade of Reader on October 1 2011. Dr Oyeleye retired from the University on September 8, 2014 after 28 years of meritorious service. He held several positions including Ag Head, Department of Nursing Science while in Ife. It is also on record that Dr Oyeleye was among the first set of students to graduate from our Department Nursing Science and the first alumnus to join the teaching staff of the department.
He would be remembered for his high sense of responsibility, leadership, humility, hard work, integrity, competence and very sound knowledge of Nursing.
