This site is in loving memory of Raul Renteria, who passed away due to complications with diabetes.

Raul is survived by his partner Lucio, his parents Cheryl and Craig, and his siblings Lisa and Craig. Raul has several family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Raul was an avid video gamer who was lucky enough to make a career out of his passion. He was a guitar hero master, and if you ever had a chance to see him play, you would have been amazed!

We will remember the happy times with Raul always, and wish him peace in his final resting. Raul will be in our hearts and memories forever.

I always felt we were kindred spirits Raul. Both of us geeky video game bears. I wish I had been able to spend more time with you. You were always so kind and gentle. The world has lost a truly beautiful person. Miss you terribly.

Met Raul in SF, we have been friends for a quite a while, talked on phone and texted he said he was in ER and then nothing till I got a text response and found out today. You be missed my friend.

I initially met Raul in EverQuest through mutual real life friends where we were all part of the same crew and guild. Since we all lived in the same area, that led to hanging out in real life, having LAN parties, and of course being introduced to his Guitar Hero prowess. Thanks for all the good memories, Raul. I am sorry you moved on so early in your life. You will be not be forgotten.

We are very grateful to have known Raul and lucky to have been close to the Renteria Family for so many years. The pictures in this tribute are wonderful. They bring back so many good memories and really represent such a happy life that Raul had. It's so very sad that it had to end so early. We love each of you deeply.

I met Raul when in 2007 when I was 14. He was the first out gay man whom I ever met, and helped me through some depression and allowed me to realize my full potential as a young adult. He was also the first person that I ever came out to. I am now 24. At first we talked every day, but as we grew older the extent of our conversations were wishing each other Happy Birthday. His impact he made on my life will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, friend. Let me know when you FC Heaven. Im sure you have already done it :)
