Application for High School 2012

November 5, 2014

My name is Rayel Owen Da Silva. My dream is to become an Engineer.

I work hard at all things and strive to do my best. My academic results validate my dedication to my schoolwork.

I excelled in Mathematics, Design and Technology in Grade 6 of 2011.

My dedication and responsibility to my schoolwork was recognised and rewarded when I was chosen as a Monitor-Prefect at my school for 2012.

My duties are as follows:

1. To help in the office in the morning before school starts

2. Helping Mr Jacobs the sportsmaster, which I enjoy

I do the following in sport:

2. I play cricket for the under 13/side in summer

3. I play soccer for the under 13/side in winter

4. I play baseball for the under 14/side for a club called Battswood on a Saturday morning in summer, I was selected for the Western Province trials in 2011 and have been re-selected for baseball trials in 2012

5. I play chess and represent the school, kickboxing also interests me.

I know that if I am able to attend a school with a good reputation in education, I will be able to realise my goals.

My parents do struggle financially, as I am one of three children, and for me to attend a good school, I need a bursary, which is my wish.

I will make the school proud, hope my application is successful.

Thank you.
