ForeverMissed

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Raymond Lewis Reffitt III, 18, born on April 23, 1976 and passed away on May 7, 1994. We will remember him forever.

TOGETHER

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.

Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.

Let my name be the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was; there is absolutely unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
Somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is well, nothing is past, nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before,
Only better, infinitely happier and forever,
As we will all be one together with Christ.
See you in Heaven My son, My friend, Miss you!

Knowing this helps my heart seem less broken
helps to fill the cracks and gives me peace.
See you again my Angel.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
Mom don’t lengthen your time with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and peace to thee,
God wanted you to know – I am free.

One memories I have and I have many with Raymond is we we at the canton commons apartments and MOM and Anna were at work at the picture frame company and MOM called me and said I better get up a bad storm was coming so I got up and laid on the living room floor were Raymond was watching cartoons and the storm hit it was tornado I jump up and grab Raymond under my arm and ran to the basement door as I looked back at the sliding door it blew out with a huge piece of someones roof and smashed MOMS rocking chair that Raymond was sitting in we went down into the basement and the cement walls were breathing so I got scared they were going to crash in on us so we went back upstairs and went into the kitchen into the corner and mind you Raymond was not saying anything and I was screaming like a crazy man I was able to grab the phone of the wall and call MOMS work they got her on the phone only for her to hear me screaming like a crazy man then the phone went dead so there me and Raymond were with me still screaming and the storm still going on and Raymond calmly said Uncle Howard several times until I heard him and I ask what and he CALMLY said someone is at the front door it was our next door neighbors and they grab us and took us next door until MOM and Anna arrived what a memory that is our little man was so calm though the hole storm and wound up taking care of me miss ya Raymond and look forward to the day we see each other again UNCLE HOWIE

Those we Love remain with us,
for Love itself lives on.
Cherished memories never fade,
because a loved one is gone.
Those we Love can never be,
more than a thought apart.
For as long as there is a memory,
they’ll live on in our heart.
I Still Hear Your Laughter See The Smile On Your Face
Miss you so much my son.. Until we meet again.
ALWAYS IN MY HEART! Forever and ever... Love Mom

As I sit here today! I can honestly say how much you have changed my life…You taught me to smile, to laugh and to be strong in any of life’s challenges…So many times I have come to a bump in the road, and I think how can I get pass it?…But I just think of you Ray, your compassion, spirit and your infectious smile and I make it THROUGH! You were for sure one of God’s Walking Angels…We all struggle to find our purpose and way in this life, to understand our trials and tribulations THANKS FOR MAKING MY JOURNEY CLEARER AND SHARING YOUR LIFE WITH ME… Sure glad you were born to me on April 23, 1976
SEE YOU LATER!

Your 40th Birthday

Shared by Cathy Micciche on April 23, 2016

My nephew Raymond,
Today as we celebrate your 40th birthday I miss you! I miss you today, tomorrow and every day of my life. I miss talking to you, I miss your voice and your smile. I miss rubbing your head, you loved that. I miss your facial expressions like when Aunt Cathy walked in the room.... You would say, "here comes my crazy auntie". I have so many good memories that I charish each and every day, like when I took you to the shooting range and you heard a gun go off for the first time.... You should have seen your face, you looked up at me with those huge BIG eye balls, you totally freaked out, then we laughed together. I remember visiting you at the hospital and jumping up in the hospital bed with you, Too funny! God may have taken you from us to be with him, but I still have the great memories I shared with you that I carry with me each and every day and for that I am greatful.
Thank you for being a part of my life. I Love you so much!
You Aunt Cathy

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there; I did not die.
