The 1st time I had met Rick was thru Joan. Her and I worked together and all she would do was talk about him and how she was afraid to go out with him because she was worried it would hurt the special friendship they had. I told her give it a try. If he's that special if things didn't work out he still be friends with you. She gave it a try and I met him at a bar for the first time. I had been drinking a few and also had won a doll from the claw machine. When I saw him I talked to him thru the Simba doll I just won. I did this the entire night and all Rick could do is laugh and say is this guy for real to Joan. Those of you who know me know Rick towers over me. At the end of the night of giving him cap via the doll, I went up to him and told him never to hurt Joan or I'd be hunting him down.  Ever since then we became great friends, he was an older brother to me that I never had. When he left this world a piece of me left too. Love you brother.

My Brother at heart,
My Brother in soul,
GOD has called you home,
That is our altimate goal.

You now hunt the great dear in the sky,
Oh how many tears fell,
On that day that you had to say goodbye.

You will always be with me , my Brother of mine.
Oh how I love the hunt of the White Tail,
I hope you are with me on my hunt, each & every time.
GOD Be with you Rick. Rest in Pease Bro

I met Rick when he was just 11-12 years old at a camping trip at Litchfield Lake.. I have never forgotten my first camping trip. it was all the Balota's and in the big van. All who know me, know I am not a camper and Rick never let me forget it. He tormented me the whole trip with bugs. May god bless you rick.

Rick being Rick!!!!

In the last couple years I was fortanute enough to see Rick and Joan at parties and functions that were had. He always had a joke to tell or smile on his face. I remember him always being so fun to be around, never mad always happy!!! When him and Joan and Trish and a bunch of us went to Elmo's for the annual Hat party, he had us laughing so hard my sides hurt. He will always be remembered for his fun, joking, and loving his family and friends.....gone way to soon but is a Angel looking down on his loved ones always...................

I am so lucky

I was recently in St. Louis for three weeks in Oct/Nov staying with family.  As usual, my brother was working lots of hours and trying to get a little hunting in.  There was not a lot of spare time.  However, the night before I flew back home, he came and we went to dinner.  I had him all to myself for an hour and a half.  We even went to Joe Boccardis for dinner.  I am so blessed I got that time with him.  It meant a lot, and now I am so greatful for every moment we had together.  I will always cherish the time!

I will miss you brother!  Thanks for being a great brother!
