Dear Carolyn, Jeff and Mari,

Your husband, your father, our friend is missed very much.

We thought Oahu would be a good place for us. In February 2003, when Richard and Carolyn were our very first neighbors in Ko Olina we knew it was the right place for us. Then, Richard moved himself and Carolyn to Coconut Plantation. So, we would go to Coconut for interesting conversations and fun with them. Then, they moved to Ko Olina Kai. Again, we went there for more special times. Being left behind is tough, but we celebrate your life and thank God and praise The Lord you were in our lives. Looking up at Heaven, we see your fabulous smile and hear your wonderful laugh.

With Love and Aloha until we all meet again,

Carol and John Fletcher

Carolyn and Jeff,
So sorry for your loss Carolyn and Jeff. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Having lost my father I discovered that over time I realized he is still with me. My thoughts of him and the time we were together means he is still with me daily.

Though we lived many miles away and did not get to visit very much over the years Uncle Stoney was down to earth, always made us laugh and feel comfortable to talk to. The earliest memory I have is Aunt Carolyn telling us he called her 'Magic' and seeing the love and adoration she felt for him. I loved hearing of their adventures together and know if given another 30 years, they would have laughed and made more 'magical' moments to cherish and even though he is gone from here the memories they made will sustain until they meet again. Love you so much Aunt Carolyn, so sorry for the loss of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather (great), brother, Uncle, and friend. XOX Angel, Mike and family

Carolyn, Jeff and the entire Stone Family,

I am deeply saddened by the news of your loss. I'll always remember him for his love of sports, westerns and wit. The world is lessened by the loss of a man of his character and kindness.

With a heavy heart,

Dean

Our deepest condolences for your loss. I know what Stoney meant to both of you and your families. I hope you know what Stoney meant to me and also my family. He was my best friend, my golfing buddy, my cigar smoking friend with an occasional drink. He inspired me with his wit, his smile, his common sense and overall intelligence. Our time together was truly memorable. We were living parallel worlds. He and Carolyn loved to come to our house for great food. HIs genuine words of appreciation were so real that we new he was sincere and we would glow for weeks. Of course, he and I would sit outside after dinner and smoke a cigar, have a glass of whiskey and indulge in enlightening conversation. I always felt the sincerity of a true friend. We will never forget Stoney and his impact on our family. I told him every time I saw him these last three years, "Stoney we have got to get out there and play another round of golf". His eyes would beam and with a smile he would say "I am going to do it". So Stoney you owe me another round
of golf you choose the time and the place. Thanks Jeff for introducing
Carolyn and Stoney and providing them so much comfort, especially
these last 3 years. Thanks Carolyn for being the best care giver to
Stoney. And that was the best haircut you ever gave! We love you
and Stony and your family.

I miss you Stoney, but I know you would be happier if I would celebrate
your life as if you were here. So soon I will go sit outside, light a cigar,
have a glass of wine, look up at the stars and again speak to you across the table.

God Bless,

Angelo, Irina, Bella and Coco

It brings a smile to my face when I think about all the wonderful times I got to spend with Richard. What a great man, a friend, a guide and a guru of so many things. I especially cherish those times where we would watch sports, and western movies; he knew everything there was to know. We had happy times at the beach whale watching and sunsets, sharing meals, celebrations, and bible studies. Richard and his great laugh I still hear it. He supported and always encouraged
Me to do my best and would tease me often "to go get to work saying somebody's gotta work". His way of saying I believe in you so make it happen. Richard so kind and so funny even the pets knew it and would gravitate to be in his company.
Richard was a fighter and for all of us death cannot separate us from our love ones; they live with us in our memories. May God help us to understand Richard is going to be with us always. Until we meet again Richard. I love you

Denise and I are deeply saddened to hear of Richard’s passing. Although we are thinking of the both of you and the good times we have shared, we will not be able to join you at Richard’s Celebration of Life. Instead, our thoughts from the other side of the Pacific this Friday will be on the loss of a good and kind man that we wish we had spent more time with.  Aloha Richard.  Steve and Denise Clifford

The pain of losing my sweet Uncle Stoney is equal to my happiness for him to be with our Precious Savior. Like gramma used to say "we are the poor pitiful ones that are left here!" I can't wait for us ALL to be together one day, where there will be no more tears! Like the old hymn says, " What a day that will be when my Jesus, I will see. What a day, a glorious day that will be."
