As I think of the passing of my dad, I feel for my friends who now mark the passing of a year. Time and distance may allow views that are fresh and renewed memories that we want to keep closer in the upcoming year.

Reed, I remember you and visiting you and Richie on the farm. If I remember correctly was it you that was raising a cow named Dinner and a pig named Breakfast!!! I also remember your "business venture" you and my brother ran up north. You were a real good friend to him when the venture went bad. Thanks for being his friend.

mad at him.  We raised Mark and Adria like they were brother and sister rather than cousins. They were always together. I was heartbroken when he moved to Nashville but I do know how much he loved it down there and truly never wanted to come back to Boston. I feel him with me all of the time and know we will reunite some day. Love and miss you.

I miss my brother so much but I know he is in a better place. We grew up very close, fought occasionally like any siblings, but shared many great times. I had my friends, he had his and then there were "our" friends. I always wanted to date his friends and always wondered why none of them ever asked me out until one of them told me he threatened them if they ever went near me. I was so

The "Other side" waits for us all.
The Z-Man will have some cool Mansions built for us by then.

The long commute back and forth to their jobs proved too much for the laid back NH country life, so after they moved back to the Boston area I saw them only a few times when they ventured north.
Oh too be forever young, but life calls and the pendulum of time never stops.

Later we formed a business partnership of sorts and spent many good times in the Harvard square "office".
Times were going so good we moved our enterprise north to New Hampshire where I tried my hand @ farming....which proved a failier.
Anyways to avoid rambeling...Dickey and Linda had good times "up north"....I'll never forget the day they wed :)

Hi Adria...and all Richard's friends,
The first time Zeke and I met was way back in the late 60"s.
Eb Tide, Revere Beach and the infamous Donuts Please.
We had several things in common ...drag-racing being one of them.
He and Ray Ghizzoni had a AA dragster.

Zeke was a great friend to Mary and myself. In 2007 we decided to remodel and update our house. It was a struggle until we enlisted Zeke as the project manager. Under his guidance we were able to install new floors, paint the inside of the house and install new granite counter tops. We will always remember for Zeke his help and friendship.

He could always make me laugh or mad as hell depending on his mood. It took me awhile to learn to ignore a lot of his sarcastic comments. You took good care of my house, tried to keep me organized, I learned a lot about cooking from you Yankee Pot Roast & Lia’s favorite salad. I missed your help on the holidays I can’t move all the tables & cook too. Michael had to make the mashed potato

Zeke was my friend & lover for many years. I met him at a time in my life that I needed someone I could trust, someone that made me laugh, and it helped that he was handy around the house. I also knew & liked his ex wife & thought she must have pretty good taste. You were big enough & mean enough to keep my ex husband from bothering me and not many men would have wanted to or could have

Zeke was my friend. We had great conversation. He was very intelligent. He had a ready laugh, especially when I would call him on something he thought he knew everything about. I'll miss our working together, cribbage games and gatherings at Zeke and Gaye's. I'm sure God has a room up there that Zeke can renovate. Love, hugs and kisses.

1967-Zeke was about to turn 21. Slim, smart, sarcastic, and a magnet to this 17 year old at the Donuts Please lunch counter. A seeming lifetime of New England Dragway and garage dates later-1970- my husband, and father of our beautiful daughter, Adria. Wouldn't trade a thing. God bless you Zeke, my love.

Greene remodel

February 19, 2012

It was 2007 when we decided it was time to update the interior of our house.   I knew nothing about drywall and spent several frustrating weeks proving it.  I was ready to thow in the towel on the whole project when we decided that professional help was needed.  We then enlisted Zeke to become the project manager and help us do the work.  While Zeke and I took to prepping the walls, Mary had been given the assignment to rip out the closet shelves in preperation for new wire shelving.  Well, Mary had never heard of a saws all but Zeke gave her the usual 5 minute introduction and safety training.  She took to that saw like a duck to water.  Zeke and I became concerned what would happen when she ran out of closets to hack up.  Well, by now, new floors and counter tops had been added to the project so there would be plenty of other things that would need to be done. Once the closets and walls were stripped and ready, it was Zeke's turn to mud the drywall and paint.  While Zeke was painting, Mary and I had the assignment of ripping up the carpet and prepping the floor for some new engineered hardwood.  During this process Zeke lined up a plumber, Mez, to install new plumbing fixtures for the bath and kitchen. We had decided that we would go for granite counter tops so Zeke and I spent several days taking measurements and looking for a decent price on the install.  Zeke's persistance on getting us the best price led us to a place out off Gallatin road that had beautiful granite and was half the price of all the other estimates.  Zeke saved us enough money on the counter tops to allow us to afford new appliances.  With the painting completed, all the furniture out, it was time for the floors and a few days off for us.  The wood floors and tile floors were installed and we were back to work.  Now Zeke was a mighty tall guy and we were going to have to install quarter rounds around all the walls for the new floors.  So to make it easier for Zeke Mary and I invented the Zekester mobile.  This consisted of a mechanics roll around stool with a tractor style seat, painted black with flames.  We attached a custom license plate that read "Zekester" and  presented it to him.  He loved it. So while the counter tops and plumbing fixtures were installed, Zeke and I proceded to install all the quarter rounds and install the wire shelving in the closets.  Finally it was time to get the furniture out of storage and complete the project.   We were all pretty happy about the way it turned out even though the chosen colors were somewhat controversial it looked great to us and we were very happy to be in our new home.
This project would have never been possible without Zeke's guidance, knowledge, and help so for that and many other things Zeke will be forever in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace, Zeke we miss you.
