Robert Edward Stroud, 84 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on January 24, 2017.

He was born in Buffalo and lived many years in North Collins, New York.

He is survived by his wife Carol, his children Terri (Paul) Kroth and Michael (Maryann), Robin (Betty LaChiusa), Daniel (Marianne) and Nancy (Alicia Yanklowitz) Stroud; his step-children Laurie Ortel and Mark and Roger (Debbie) Egner as well as 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived his brother Walter (Cindy) Stroud of Largo, Florida.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Violet.

Robert was a life-time member of the Langford New Oregon Volunteer Fire Company and a co-founder of the North Collins Emergency Squad. He worked as an electrician & plumber for many years for Elmer Winter before joining the maintenance staff at Eden Central School. He retired as the Maintenance Supervisor. He spent his retirement between North Collins and Florida.

There will be a Memorial Service at the Langford New Oregon Fire Hall on April 22, 2017 at 10:00am.
