Kuya Rod, the sound of your laughter, the never-ending discussions we had anything under the sun, your generous provisions especially for my ship clinic supplies, for the banquet we always share both onboard and offshore and the mountains and hills we climbed together.You will surely be missed. My 13 years with you were the best days of my life. We had our ups and downs and quarelled almost all the time but as the saying goes “ LOVE CONQUERS ALL”. Im so proud seing how perfect you are as a father and being a blessing to all those life you have touched. Your absence is unbearable but I will be keeping the pain forever in my heart, for every throb it makes is one more moment spent with you. I will try to be strong coz I know that is how you want me to be without you. I love you with everything I am and with everything I have.

It's never the right time to say goodbye papa. I will miss you and you know why, you taught me so much, to show no fear, to always have fun (the way we’ve agreed upon) and face the day with cheer. You were always so able, so fast and so strong. In my eyes you could do no wrong. You wouldn’t always listen, but that’s okay. You were the arms around me. You never looked for praises, and you were never one to boast. You were always there for those you loved the most. You worked so hard, and those strong working hands led me through life and helped me understand that life can be hard, and tough, and sad, but through it all I had my Papa. And because of you, I understood that life was actually pretty good. I believe in you and will follow your path, and when things go wrong, I’ll look back and laugh. I hope you can hear me so I can let you know that you were and will forever be my superhero. I am full of sorrow, but I will smile a little more with each tomorrow. It’s with tears in my eyes I write these words after receiving the very sad news, that we lost our good friend and family man Roderick.
Many good memories working and sailing with him and his wife. Highly respected by crew and company. Always with a smile and kind words. I will really miss Roderick and the connections we had. I have followed him and watched him doing so much outdoor and other activities and I was hoping to see him and Rowena again one day. Our deepest Condolences to the family.

Rod, You were an integral part of our SeaDream family. All the times we spent together onboard, I cannot remember hearing the word 'NO' from you once. You were always there to assist us with procuring anything and everything we asked for. I always had a special affinity to Rowena and You as I felt a connection and bond with You both. Your sense of loyalty to SeaDream and your colleagues was unmatched and we all should learn from the way you made others happy. You will be missed by us all. May You rest in peace my dear friend!
