Dear sweet Russ, It is a few days past eight months since you had to leave us. We miss you so much every day, but especially as Christmas approaches. It will never be the same and yet the special traditions we created together will sustain us through the holidays. I wish you were here to see Charlie open her Christmas presents. I think often of the times Russ and I would play with our dogs Jake and Jet at the softball field while Katy and Laurel were practicing with their teams. Those memories of this kind and gentle man always bring a smile to my face.
